When did they do that? With 4E Forgotten Realms? (I only know 3.5 FR). And who is going to fuck with Mystra/her aspect from now on?

Maybe the Scarred Lands setting from Swords&Sorcery? Would fit the greek mythology, at least partial, and the grim athmosphere should work well with the IH rules (I have to say I only know the core campaign setting but none of the additional supplements).

Thank you for giving me a new recurring villain for my game (any maybe something for a future character as well)!

[*]Your party has been captured by some brute ogres or trolls and they prepare to roast one of you for lunch on the campfire. Use Diplomacy to convince them otherwise. [*]You're locked in a labyrinth of almost identical rooms (25x25, two doors but in varying directions) who are moving in a seemingly...

Hey, Mongoose's quintessential series has some kick ass stuff in it. This is not to say it's balanced, but it can be fucking awesome. That may be true, I never used their stuff but read through some of the supplements and my reactions ranged from "Well... interesting" to "OMG, make i...

Oh, that reminds me of one other thing I like about Pathfinder. That it showed me in bright, unignorable neon letters that game companies are no better at game design than I, so the RAW are not to be taken as gospel law. This shouldn't be news to anyone who read and played some of the d20 materials...

[snip] Not every premade adventure is this easy, and in fact the first half of this adventure path used monsters instead of NPCs, & it slaughtered them. Convinced of their own aptitude, they told themselves that the adventure was toggled for hard mode. With this poor of judgement of how the rul...

I'm ressurecting this thread for a question to all you people in the Den: is there anything you like about Pathfinder?* Like, you dislike anything but a handful of feats, classes, or maybe just the fluff in chapter x of the campaign setting. I'm asking because I got the impression that a lot of peop...

Yes, level 10. The only reason they have a cure for ability damage in this vampire+shadow focused campaign, that exceeds two or three memorized spells, is because the adventure dumps stuff like a partially charged wand of restoration into their laps just before entering the vampire shadow-lord's du...

I liked the Combat Reactions and how everything regarding combat was presented in one place - my players, some of them new to D&D 3.5, liked it as well.

Suffocation A character who has no air to breathe can hold her breath for 2 rounds per point of Constitution. After this period of time, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check in order to continue holding her breath. The save must be repeated each round, with the DC increasing by +1 for...
