I was referring to Kaelik's improved Air sphere. It was... Soulborn-esque.

I've actually never played in a game with a soulborn before - admittedly, I've only been in a handful of Tome games that I wasn't running. Anywho, if you think it will be disruptive I'm hardly married to the concept. I'd be totally be interested in trying a Restraint-based Spherelock or an Elemental...

Sedek, the Aasimar Soulborn.

A righteous shining warrior with a silver tongue and not enough brains to stop using it. I have some backstory ideas, but like Kaelik I wouldn't mind a hint or two about the sort of campaign you have in mind.

Which is to say, none? Or do humans get the Pathfinder choose-your-own +2 bonus?

In either case, color me interested. I'll whip up a human soulborn.

Re: Podcasts That Aren't Shit

The Thrilling Adventure Hour: Live stage plays in the style of old-timey radio serials, but hilarious. Now defunct as the live show has ended, but all of the back episodes are on itunes. I'll also put in a good way for TAH. Double for the Beyond Belief episodes, which follow the supernatural/horror...

7% of the world population as of 2010. They are never going to crack the top 3, but there are enough Buddhists that they get their own label on the pie chart.

I would say a sensible release order is all three at once. When I buy a game I want to be able to play it. I simply am not interested until the company has finished dribbling out the pieces I need to create characters and put together a world with challenges for those players.

If you're there as a citizen of a country that signed the Antarctic Treaty, you're subject to the laws of your own country. In other words, traveling to Antartica from your country won't make an abortion any more or less legal. If you're a citizen of a non-signatory you might be in more of a grey ar...

Huh? I don't think any of the matches played in Hogwarts during the series lasted more than an afternoon - and they're kids! The professional seekers would surely be more skilled and therefore find and capture the snitch more quickly. In the Goblet of Fire, the World Cup we get to witness is similar...

Re: After Sundown One-Shot - Help!

Or perhaps the villain is a luminary infected with the Z-Virus that he has been spreading. When he "dies" he comes back as a Revenant, maybe with a few extra powers (War Form?) for the right dramatic effect.

The whole band pretty much looks like that. They had a concert at Anime Expo this year, so they've been getting more exposure on this side of the world recently.

Really? I haven't played Path of Exile since the beta, but back then all the paid upgrades were purely cosmetic.

There are plenty of true free-to-play games-- but it's quite rare in multiplayer games. It's also pretty barren if you're looking for visual spectacle.

Or spend half an hour writing a roller. But yeah, the system's odds are very opaque. The main reason I wrote a roller (rather than use existing online resources) was to answer questions like: - What are the chances of hitting an enemy with a given dice pool? - What is my expected damage when single-...

My impressions - which are very much uninformed as far as EU content goes - is that mass transit between systems is non-existent. Starships are expensive, and you only own one if you have money to throw around (the equivalent of a yacht) or you use it to conduct business (ambassadors, traders, smugg...

The talent you're thinking of is Pressure Point. It is hilariously better than other melee or brawl attacks, but you should carry some brawl weapon as a backup for use on droids. Droids are still subject to strain damage. Yes, but Pressure Point specifically only works on living opponents. Droids d...

Actually, the standard deviation of a plain jane d20 isn't that different from the standard deviation of step 10 (stdev of 1d20 is 5.76628, stdev of 2d8 exploding is 5.36705). The exploding increases the variance by a lot. Any step above 11 has a larger standard deviation than 1d20. But yeah, step d...

My favorite role has to be support. Buffs, debuffs, battlefield control, all the good stuff. I can play the 'carry' easily enough, but I find supporting more fulfilling and nuanced than repeatedly whacking things with a big sword.
