The only impression I'm getting is that nWoD is for creative people, while oWoD is for uncreative people. Otherwise I don't really see much of a difference between them: Vampire is still about screwing each other over, Werewolf is still about fighting demons, and Mage is still about eastern mysticism.

I don't think CCP has realized that their attempt to cater to all those overweight and middle-aged LARPers will utterly fail on an internet full of trolls no matter what precautions they take.

You could improve defense in nWoD by allowing characters to add their stamina to defense to represent soaking. Mortals can only add stamina against bashing damage, vampires/werewolves can add stamina against lethal, and Resilience allows vampires to add stamina + resilience against aggravated, etc. ...
