no need to spoiler anything to show you how wrong you are. let me help you so you do not miss the important part. (Optional) "optional" means you have the choice between: 1/ using it. 2/ not using it. If you make the first choice, then it draws a clear line in the sand as to what skills a...

MisterDee wrote:I'm not sure spell combat works like that - basically, it's doing a full-attack while wielding a weapon in one hand and a spell in the other. If you can't do an attack, you can't be spell combat-ing.
You can attack a door, a wall, or even the floor. Therefore, you can attack at any moment.

Does anyone knows what are the rules to engage a fight using Spell combat ? As I understand it: 1/ The magus uses spell combat, and teleports near his target as part of this action. 2/ The surprise round begins. 3/ The magus can't use spell combat during a surprise round. Therefore he didn't. 4/ The...

There are two magic items, the mnemonic robes and the rings of spell knowledge that basically accomplish the same thing. The robes in particular are a good bargain at 5,000 gp, I believe you can even use a spell book as well. Alternatively, be an half-elf sorcerer, cast paragon surge, and gain expa...

There is an update for mythic rules!

Now, mythic points are even less poweful than hero points. And instead of +20 Init, mythic characters have a shitty bonus. Hooray !

There's a bit of debate about the Mythic rules on the playtest forum in Paizo here: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2p7vl?Missing-the-Myth OK... So, peoples are arguing that "it's mythic because a level 1/tier 1 character is more powerful than a level 1 character. A gestalt character or a characte...

A summary of my reading of that page: "Let's see, blahblah, +2 INT, +2 WIS, blahblah (Sp) abilities, blah... ADD SPELLS FROM OTHER CLASSES TO YOUR SPELL LIST!?!?!? " Actually, there's a trade-off, and it's more like: "+2 Int, +2Wis, [blah], alternate racial traits: lose a shitty +2 t...

I have read the mythic adventure playtest, and I have a simple question: what is the purpose of this piece of shit? I can't see any difference between the things a mythic character can do, and the things a non-mythic character can do: the feats are he same (yippie, PA gives +3 to damages and you can...

Actually, you can divide by 3 or 4 the number of powers of D&D4 without removing any option.

Frank, I'm starting to like rules light systems more and more. Could you tell me why rules light games are bad for long campaigns? Is it because the rules aren't consistent or what? Don't write too much or anything unless you want to. Because MTP-RPG is completely free. I also like light systems, a...

I guess "60 days" qualify as "a few days". from the FAQ: Feral Combat Training (page 101): What does “with” in the Special line for this feat mean for monks making a flurry of blows? Normally a monk who has natural attacks (such as a lizardfolk monk with claw attacks) cannot use ...

Would you stop doubling down for a minute and just accept that Ishy's original confusion was 100% justified by the sloppy text? Yes, I accept that. Considering there's a zillion things in Pathfinder that are legitimately worth complaining about, zeroing in on lame shit like this makes Pathfinder look better than it actually is. I.e., "If this is the only thing you can find to complain about, it must be really good!" That's what I wan...

When they say people don't like 4e because it's too balanced, I feel like it's someone saying "women don't like me because my dick is too big and I'm too rich and handsome." The explanation is far simpler: the statement "a balanced system is boring, look at 4e" comes from paizil...

No. It's that Yig is considered very difficult because he shows up very fast and beating him in combat is only considered a winning draw. -Username17 Yeah, and the spell which make the elder one appear is just here for the lulz. "oh, you have gained the penalty bonus, lol". My point stand...

Generally speaking, with Arkham Horror, most of the fans of the game have a gentleman's agreement that if an elder god shows up and you do the showdown, at best beating the elder god counts as a "draw" instead of a win, usually because it's that unsatisfying of a conclusion. Those fans ar...

Here comes the C-MD argument again. If we weren't having a C-MD argument, this wouldn't be a fantasy game. Casters are supposed to be more powerful than martials in a fantasy game. It is a trope of fantasy. Probably 80 to 90% of fantasy books are built on the caster-martial disparity with a caster ...

ZOMG they stole the concept of Deva from D&D 4, just like James Cameron stole the concept of Space Hulk from GW!

I also think Bayonetta stole the whole angel concept from D&D.
