The first campaign arc is really pretty stupid. It starts with the characters being humble villagers and then magic rays from an an exploding planar breach turn them into player character adventurers wearing heavy armor and reading from spell books and shit. Okay I read that and laughed so hard. Wh...

Wiseman's 100th Post Blowout Extravaganza!
So in honor of my 100th post. I've decided to do what I said I was going to do and start making that Lycanthrope Paragon. Lycanthrope Paragon HOOOWWWL! A Lycanthrope Paragon channels their inner beast in order to make it their outer beast. They're at their best when their right in the face of the en...

There's also at least one touhou d20 system . Although it uses Anime d20 as it's base so i don't like it. 2.) Touhou is an absolute juggernaut among japanese geeks. Maybe because ZUN has a strong indie ethic, encouraging fan-works and refusing to cash in and go fully commercial. One wonders how he m...

Didn't we already determine that LA is a stupid mechanic already? Honestly you could give the fighter a template like half-dragon or saint and really not care too much about it affecting game balance. Even though some people might flame at this, you could have it as a class feature. Form Advancement...

While the actually mechanics you've suggested are problematic, yes I'm totally on board with fixing the fighter in the simplest way possible by just giving him spells a high levels. As long as mundane sword guys stop trying to be a thing after level 10 I'm willing to be pretty open minded. Good luc...

I played a 10th level Tome Fighter, and I can attest that I had fun and did interesting things. Between foil action and improved delay, I had interesting tactical decisions to make each round. If I was unsure what I actually wanted to do, or what was best, I'd delay. If an enemy tried to pull off a...

I'm a christian, grew up christian with christian parents, yet they've never really objected to any of my interests, other than (go outside more). Then again it might have helped that my parents had no idea what the heck dungeon's and dragons was until i told them. Really it all boils down to New Me...

In my experience, just giving the fighter (or whatever were going to call it) a bunch of magical abilities makes them much more viable as a character. Increase the die size of their weapons or give them a template or two. Allow them anime style shit like cutting buildings in half or controlling hord...

Yeah, i've kind of noticed that when i was reading the monsters. I didn't really like it, but that could just be that it's not 3.5 like what I'm used to.fectin wrote:That's probably the harshest thing you could have said.tussock wrote:I think it's 4th edition dressed up like oldschool D&D. Playtesting 5E
So I recently became a playtester for 5E and i was a bit confused by the agreement. I had some questions about opinions on it, but are we not allowed to discuss it publicly?

The dragonlance movie was okay. I just think it could have been better if they'd done it in live action. At the very least, it was good to see the plot of the first book on screen. ...why did I look at shadzar's post? I've noticed this going on on this site for a while. What's with all the hate towa...
