Its bad, but look at the competition. DnD 5e, Shadowrun 5e, Bear World!, Dark Heresy all are even bigger dumpster fires of cock barrels then pathfinder, at least mechanics wise. And those are just games I played. Its hard to explain to a baby that their toy sucks if you cant show some game that is a...

You could say that the hyperdrive impeller produces a endothermic reaction, so you need active detection methods or line of sight to detect ships.

Otherwise ships light up the thermal cameras from a system away.

http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/spacewarintro.php this may concern you more then most of the site. The question in any scifi is how hard do you want to keep your science. For example you stated you that traveling in a system takes up to days. Those are still relativistic speeds. A 100 t...

If you want a really fleshed out setting, go here: http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/ But to make it shorter reading through your text these are the questions that popped into my head: How far from a typical star do you have to drop form hyperspace? How do you move inside the hyperspace n...

I got the 5e book when it came out, didn't even finish reading it and stopped following the entire shadowrun situation. So to those more informed, what is going on? Are books being made, is 6th in the work?

Dice add to player agency if the systems mechanics are good enough that dice rolls make sense, or in other words that dice rolls yield expected results. Going with a 3.x example if a Search DC for a trap is 25, then a character will make that check dependent on how much investment into search did he...

Word. Source please? ETC circuit went 9th age. 6000+ forum members, daily 1500+ visits to the forum. I am not saying they are taking the world by storm, but they are certainly in a good place now where they can expand. Who'll do the expanding? It's something created by fans and given away for free....

So assuming I won't have access to KOTOR stuff and most especially Ratakan stuff, what would the better options for equipment be? Especially the heavy weapons stuff. Is there a way to more quickly brace weapons?

it would greatly appreciated if someone with legal knowledge could comment on 9th age practically being a heavily houseruled version of warhammer 8th edition with all the names changed. does gw have any means to shut that down? the 9th age people seem confident they are safe. IT seems they have a l...

I think its clear to anyone who ever played 8th edition that 9th age is more thought out, more coherent ruleset then anything GW ever put out. Will it hold? 9th age made big gains so far, but they need to keep new blood coming in. I think the big opportunity will be the new Warhammer Total War game,...

I don't want to be "the guy". Since, the build is equipment dependent I can adjust my character to the group power level while having the option to jack it up if needed (or if one of the two planned jedi's decides to go OP) I can upgrade the gear and match him. And the 5e campaign didn't f...

After the debacle that is 5e DnD my group is going give SAGA a try. ITs going to be one of those 1 to 20 campaign paths, and I am intrigued by Dean's Iron Man soldier, so will be willing to give that a shot. Relevant house rules is Skill focus is +1/2 levels (max +5 at level 10), and that is it. Eve...

Given the massive discounts Amazon offered for core books, my estimates were that Amazon sold 80-90% of the books of that sector. Which would mean that PHB's sold are in the 150K to 200 K range, with total 5e books probably not going over 300 to 350 K sold.

So is there a upcoming product for 5e? 'Cause my theory is that WotC licensed out 5e to third party publisher, but each company that bought the rights made exactly one product. Almost as if they got burned by poor sales and don't want to make 5e shit anymore. The last adventure is a recycle of 4 edi...

Basis is Life Cleric / Paladin / Fighter lvl 1 multiclass into Wizard /Sorcerer, for heavy armor and shield proficiency (and maybe fighting style). Add in a non concentration AC buff and the shield spell and you have a AC in the high 20's without any magic items.

You'd think it would be cheap too. Making RPG books in 2016 is a lot less expensive than it used to be. I mean, WotC doesn't need to go the full Onyx Path by any means, but surely they can make a profit on books that sell even mid five-figures levels of copies if not less and it has to be worth doi...

I think you would get major reactions from all over the world that would end up poorly for the vampires. Most would be killed, a few would hide and some would be in research labs.

A generation later you would probably have immortality cures based on Vampirism.

There has been a lot of discussion on the topic of warhammer fantasy entry barrier and the general consensus is not the lack of allies, or lack of prepainted minies you can buy, but two things: 1) The rules themselves make the game very unbalanced for any games of 1000 points and lower. Games of 100...
