So ork magik is unsalvageable, but what about the other feats?

Yeah, while the ability to root is of some interest to a melee party because of divide and conquer effects as well as locking down kiters, the value of "melee DPS" to a team of root kiters is essentially zero. You can have big or small melee DPS and you're still going to be a bucket of fa...

You can't make a melee party with the sample characters . But I remind you that the 4e Melee party is 100% composed of Rangers, Paladins, Fighters, and Warlords. And only one of those classes has even a single sample. And he's horribly built even within the context of the limited number of options ...

Well, if you're talking about travel, there's a spectrum that ranges from walking at one end to retroactively being where you were supposed to be at the other. Obviously there's room for one or more classes to be able to ignore physical barriers while still leaving the possibility for supersonic/FT...

Blood Knight - The +6 option should still be limited by BAB. The +16 option is too much like the +0 option, a good alternative would be an ability that lets you delay damage or gives you bonuses for having low hp. +6: When using the power attack combat option, you can assign the penalty to armor cl...

That's nice. The Fighter's still anti-synergistic with the Wizard's ray of frost. It's the same fucking situation as in 4e, where you want an all ranged or all melee party, period. The Fighter's ranged damage is only +1 higher than the Cleric's, and the Fighter can't heal or do anything else useful...

Ork Magik is fucking stupid, because it breaks the RNG. Necromaster 1: is written incorrectly, because a 20HD undead you create with a Cha mod of 12 gets +1 HP not +20. It's also super dumb because Zombies and Skeletons have Charisma 1, so you never get shit for it. So ork magik is pretty much unsa...

[Tome] feats grabbag

Edit- modified abilities based on suggestions. Let me know what you think, guys =) Ork Magik [Spellcasting] You hit reality until it stops bein' a git. Benefits: This is a spellcasting feat that scales with the highest-level spell slot you have. 0: You can base the saving throw DCs of your spells of...

That, and a lot of these maneuvers are noteworthy for being some combination of providing maneuverability or bad touching the action economy rather than winning on pure damage; iterative attacks still exist and can still matter so getting to lay down a "vanilla" Full Attack is something t...

I'm just doing the arithmetic in my head, I'll write it out and post if you want. But as far as I can tell the fighter leads DPR against a single target over any number of rounds. He pulls way ahead in the first two, then the cleric almost but not quite catches up over rounds 3-5, then he's out of ...

Earth hammer from races of stone turns your melee weapon into an admantine blunt weapon and increases damage die by one step. You can ...

Unless hitting things really hard lets you rewrite reality. You know, like in nWoD, where you punch things really hard and get enough xp to pump your backgrounds up enough that your father retroactively becomes CEO of Microsoft. That does sound awesome in a silly kind of way. That being said, it se...

It's not that difficult to break Midnight. Many of the truly problematic things one can do (e.g., balor mining, shadow over the sun) are still available. Then there's the restriction on spellcasting, which gives you many fewer spells per day than normal ... This just means you focus on long-duratio...

WARNING INFODUMP (edit- grammar, tags, errors) Classes At third level, the wizard can autohit for 2d4+2 (Magic missile) at will and hold +6 att (ray of frost) at will. Agreed, I've often thought that GW2's approach to classes is a workable idea. In GW2, people can change up what role they're good at at-will, however, and while that works really well in a real-time game, that would be the equivalent of letting the Wizard re-pick spells at-will, which is obviously ...

I've always wondered: why do Abrahamic religions in particular and stories that derive from those branches have such a paucity of special effects? The fact that Jefferson was able to excise the supernatural elements of the gospels at all and still have a coherent story is fucking sad. If you tried ...

The midnight campaign setting comes down hard with the banhammer on what you can/can't do. I was wondering if someone here could break it in half.
