It is killing bad people just because they are bad people. who is making a case for that? what I'm reading here is mostly 'killing bad people to stop them from acting like dicks ' the closest I've seen to a statement in favor of "killing bad people just because they are bad people." was a...

On the other hand, you seemed to miss the importance of the first part of the quote, "The only excuse, therefore, for going to war is that we may live in peace unharmed." Cicero gives the principle cause of war as self defence. Agustine would expand this to include the defence of others. ...

So you're making magic items incredibly rare? As in, some random orcs would never have them, probably not even a general of an army would, maybe the ruler of a large enough empire might have a few. That's pretty different than the standard setting, but ok, we'll run with ... No just expensive relat...

What was that at the beginning? Oh, right, things outside of medieval Europe don't exist in FATAL. Hmm... well...

Re: Core Principle: Fantasy Social Orders Are Unstable

I think you've got it backward frank, nationalism starts with an arbitrary group of people and they try to get their own blotch on the map. either by ripping chunks out of an existing blotch (sepratists) or by mushing places together,( unificiation movements).
