Attacking with a gauntlet is considered an unarmed attack. That much is perfectly true.

One thing is clear: a gauntlet attack is not a weapon attack because it specifically mentions it being an unarmed attack. I think the whole debate depends on if you insist on the table or not. If you don't then monk unarmed strike damage obviously counts when using a gauntlet. But who the fuck cares...

Giving out racial stuff per level automatically leads to right and wrong choices regarding race. If you want that, ok, but mostly it's just bad design if you punish players for not playing a dwarven cleric. If you do that you could just simply be honest about it, tone down the complexity and restric...

I go back to my original point. Hard things in D&D should just have a high AC and appropriate energy resists and immunities. It's the best option the system's got. That results in a wall that anyone can take down with any weapon that can deal lethal damage given enough time. Sorry, but you just...

Worst thread ever. A guy who must not be named on coke is trolling a bunch of geeks who seriously don't have anything better to do than set a guy who must not be named on coke, who is trolling them, straight again and again and again. Really? It strikes me more as someone desperate to validate hims...

For most people I would assume that's what he meant - "You design D&D to be a game people will want to play, including any kind of minority. You don't try to design a game specifically for a minority, that is nearly always bad and either patronising or offensive. Hi, video game industry!&q...

Did shadzar just get his stupid ass banned? Tbh, I don't think that shadzar meant his comment in a racist way. He meant to say that he doesn't want a rpg designed for a special group of people, like in "this rpg is designed for bi-sexual midgets". I honestly don't think that shadzar has a...

The same should be true of the Rogue. The fact that a Rogue can pick a lock shouldn't mean that an Assassin can't . The fact that a Rogue can pick someone's pocket shouldn't mean that an Illusionist can't . The fact that a Rogue can hide in shadows shouldn't mean that a Hero can't . But they should...
