So... is there some entry req that prevents a character who's already evil, thinks God is rubbish, and wants to summon Him explicitly so he can completely sever himself from God's domain and finally attain true freedom, from taking it? Because otherwise what's the point of even having the final choi...

The only reason my reaction differs from indifferent approval is the inherent hypocricy of WW constantly pretending that no, their vampires don't have sex (ever since VtM became srs bsns at some point I was not here to witness, but clearly not at the start, since their first and best setting book, ...

Yar, generally the only kind of magic you give a shite about in jrpgs is healing magic. This also holds up in Skyrim, actually, where the only types of magic you give a shit about are ... healing ... and summoning, maybe. Like really. I can't say I ever needed to cast a healing spell on my characte...

as far as utility goes each element is pretty damn useful. Water was the damn do everything god element of the show and fire was generally a worthless trap choice for anybody who couldn't do the high end lightning crap. I mean, it seemed like the other nations had entire exotic technologies built a...

Reducing the need for a party heal bitch/giving everyone some limited form of self healing is all well and good but I really do hate how 4E went about it. I mean, I generally *like* playing a healing class, but loathe playing one in 4E because that feeling of self importance and satisfaction in know...

. I mean, how boring would it be if your Gunslinger were restricted to the same options as your Archer? But Pathfinder Archers actually have way more interesting, better options than Pathfinder Gunslingers do. That scene in Thor where Hawkeye looks at a wall of guns and then grabs a freaking bow? Y...

let's see... unless int based skills are all stupid overpowered (and they generally aren't) Int would be really weak and would be the new dump stat of choice for non-mages. Also splitting up Will defenses just to give Int a token defense feels arbitrary as all hell and just makes things complicated....

Is it possible to hybrid Bladesinger and Ranger? I would love for my Ranger to drop down some of the badass-to-the-max Wizard dailies, since I prefer to (theoretically, I hardly play anymore let alone as a PC) hunker down for the long haul and Wizard dailies excel at that. There isn't a hybrid or m...

Well it's been a fun couple of weeks in 4fail lands. The final version of the newer Hybrid and Multiclass article came out. Of course, balances issues like hybrid Clerics being able to trade their nearly worthless Healer's Lore feature for the holy crap awesome Battle Clerics Lore (and some are even...

Never quite saw the problem with the wizard tossing around actual hard action denial effects that last for a duration you might actually care about, instead of piddly attack penalties, slows, or limited forced movement that can't even be used offensively without someone bitching about it being overp...

So when is the 'Mearls not designing anymore thing going to kick in? Cause the last few classes they've put out, the Binder, Vampire, and Bladesinger are so bad that they've actually made me long for the days back when the PHB3 and it's the Seeker, Runepriest, and fucking this class might as well on...

This first level can then be skipped for experienced players who are already secure in their gaming groups or making new characters for an already familiar campaign, etc., etc. Except that, no matter how you lay out levels, talk about game tiers. and design character progression, there will still b...
