Yeah but complaints like that are why posting anything revolutionary at WotC is pretty pointless.

Re: Musings of a Late Night Lago
Some people want to play a godded cleric, fine with me. That isn't a reason for them to get an overpowered class to do it with. The role of healer and the role of god-boy should be seperate though. But then you get "wizards shouldn't heal" arguements. Or even better "you want to chang...

Heh, just suggesting that wizards should be able to cast really crappy healing spells starts a small riot.

Ability damage is a spell away from being healed. Death costs more. Its escapist fantasy, if I wanted to die of snake bite I'd go bushwalking.

Re: Better saves:
It should be changed, a lot. But the basic idea that the PCs don't worry about cobras etc should stay. An assasin's poisoned blade is part of a fun encounter, sitting on a bench and dieing because a redback bit you is not.

Re: What does a Monk need to not suck? (3.0)
If a class has low BAB giving it a class feature to make more attack rolls is stupid. Just give it a decent BAB in the first place and cut down on die rolls.

Half the point of the poison rules is that garden variety spiders don't scare decent level PCs at all. I wouldn't change that.

The skill system does suck though. You're either awesome or you suck. There should be more than two levels of ability possible in a decently build character.

Re: Rogues do more damage than fighters.
Rogues are better than fighters because the rogue is a well designed class but the fighter is massively underpowered. This is old news.
In actual direct damage a decent fighter should be able to keep up with a rogue, the problem is that he sucks at everything else.

Re: What the hell is wrong with Cordell?
The mind blade needs to do 2d6 damage with x3 or 19-20/x2 crit. Thats first level. Its a mind blade, what it looks like really dosen't have much to do with how deadly it is.
Plus he needs a real BAB.
That only fixes levels 1-3.

I wouldn't let size effect DR or AP, the damage difference is enough IMO. I don't think differentiating between attack types would be good, too much complexity.[br][br]Note that there is no reason why medium armour has to reduce speed to 20, 25 is probably a better option. Leaving 20 for heavy armo...

Exactly, thats why I'm thinking about this first rather than just coming up with some numbers like the UA crew did.[br][br]As it stands I'm probably stuck with AP reducing DR rather than the all or nothing version. I also think enhancement bonuses probably shouldn't increase AP after all so it scale...

Re: Price check! On a Repeating Dwarven Rifle?
Okay then. If you do that to the musket in the 3.0 DMG it would be reasonable as an exotic weapon. The pistol has a pretty small range increment so it needs some form of benefit to truely qualify as exotic. Since you get proficiency for free when you learn the musket it may not be so bad.[br][br]Str...
