Aside from licensing issues this suffers from the same problem every sci-fi rpg I've come across* suffers from, it is tied heavily to its setting, A space spy vs space government vs space terrorists sounds fun and interesting, reading 100+ pages of setting fluff that the system is tied to doesn't s...

I have never said they were all cowards or n00bs, merely noted that the only justifications given so far for NEEDING (rather than merely preferring) heavy rules in this thread are: 1. Fear of a GMing wrong 2. Fear of an unjust GM or 3. Inexperience That hits the nail on the head. Many prominent Pos...

So apparently there are rules that shouldn't exist because they will make things harder for GMs. No, they shouldn't be used by certain groups. Then what was that bit complaining about d20 Majestic Wilderlands and how the mere existance of those rules makes your life harder? Also, you can't say a ru...

So apparently there are rules that shouldn't exist because they will make things harder for GMs. Also, you can't say a rule is a bad thing at a design level if it works for someone. Therefore, no rules should exist. Because if some rules don't deserve to exist, but you can't make a value judgement t...

It does seem strange to me that people are qualifying their ideas in universal rather than personal terms. The ruleset designed to your specifications, is not the ruleset designed to fit all other groups' specifications. This. Close thread. You see, this is not a DM advice forum, it is a game desig...

I've always said that Mr. Bruce 'I killed off Forgotten Realms' Cordell was a worse game designer than Mr. Sean K. 'If you give money to my kitty-kat, I'll write official feats for you' Reynolds, but the latter is doing a gamely job of challenging the former for the title of King Vermin of Shit Mou...

What is with PF's hardon for teamwork feats? As soon as I saw them mentioned in the Hunter writeup I knew that it was going to be shit. The arcanist does have fewer unique spells per day than the wizard even accounting for gimped progression as a high Int doesn't help. I'm not sure if this stops it ...

Tricky. The biggest Sidereal, Sidechop Jackoff*, is a complete fuck and his actions and plans have killed so many people that an acceptable campaign is actually a war crimes tribunal where you play the prosecution at the Hague. Are you just talking about when they killed the Solars, because that se...

At 10K, it only costs 667 shots. Hell, as a +1 added to a +1 weapon it's only 400 shots. Basically, the campaign will end well before you start making a profit. 10k was 1.3k for a masterwork pistol plus 8k for a +2 weapon. Adding the instant reload costs as much as 500 paper cartridges. However, th...

industrial masturbator If you are using it in the privacy of your own home, it's a personal masturbator. If you are lining up at the local robobrothel for it, it's a commercial masturbator. The only way it'd be an industrial masturbator is if... I don't know, unions declare robohandies for everyone...

But then since you have three class levels, the rules give you a bonus class level. At this point, you are an ECL 7 character who has 9HD, casts as a 8th level sorcerer and has BAB +7. Even without a bloodline, you have a good gish. Mmmm, that's a weird rule. Pretty much designed for the aranea to ...
