Yeah, Pathfinder Savant. As an Aranea, my race gives me level 5 Sorcerer casting without other sorcerer class features. At level 7, I cast as a level 6 Sorcerer and get one spell off somebody else's list. If your party is level 7, then you should have four class levels by the Monsters as PCs rules....

I actually kind of like Exalted, in a Stockholm syndrome sort of way. It was the first RPG I played. My first character (Twilight Sorcerer/Crafter) died from the very first hit in the very first encounter :( And three sessions later the GM bailed on us. I like Exalted as long as it's not the actual...

You're either very confused about what parrying is, or you don't understand the basic concept of helmet. I'm not sure which is worse. Alternately, I suppose it could be both, but I'm not sure you can be that stupid and still post on a forum. Parrying, as in an ioun stone that interposes itself betw...

Dang, I thought we were gonna talk about M:tG casting systems. So I'm gonna talk about M:tG mana tapping as a system of power points You get 1 mana at level 1, you get additional mana at levels 3, 5, 7, 9 (only goes up to lvl 10) Mana is used to cast spells, it is used in the following ways. -Tap: ...

I know, their boast is totally a challenge. What game companies should do to reduce hacking of save files is to create a publicly available method of hacking. However, this method would take 30-45 minutes of effort to enact. Therefore, most people would be too lazy to use it, and the people who wou...

Might cause some issue with Wizard 1/Cleric 1/Mystic Theurge 4; being two 5th level casters in a 6th level world. It gives the versatility, sure, but you've still got the action economy to worry about. Um .... I say again, Automatic Quicken + an arbitrary # of iterations of Multispell. Ya know, sin...

It gives the versatility, sure, but you've still got the action economy to worry about. That's a powerful option, but so is Blackguard 6 or any other 4th level spells in 10 levels class.

Seriously, that is the whole thing. It doesn't even tell you what the stat modifiers are. Bullshit. What a load of fucking bullshit. How did they fuck that up so bad? Goddamnit, Wyatt. That is par for the course for this book, a good quarter of it is roughly humanoid races lacking any interesting a...

Most of these problems can be removed by removing infrastructure. Cell phones don't work as long range communication if you can't keep monsters from tearing down transmission wires. The main problem left in a world with untamed wilds that isolate communities and prevent the development of industry i...

They might be mechanically worth it, but damn if it doesn't suck to be an amorphous blob of oil or a half-cactus-half-sea-cucumber. Yes, they are the sort of races played by the worst kind of non-roleplaying munchkin for the most part. (Sharn aren't actually amorphous. Hell, they're immune to anyth...

As for the wacky picture, ugh, Sharn. First introduced in Undermountain, and with an excessively convoluted backstory, as one of two (the phaer-something or other is the opponent) races of ridiculous looking but absurdly powerful critters fighting a secret war for Faerun in the Underdark that no on...

The thing that bothers me is magical transportation. It's obvious in the first book that brooms are how wizards get around. Then she realizes that the wizards are too incompetent to walk through london to their main shopping district and adds Floo travel. Next year, Harry needs to leave his relative...

At 12th level can't he just hold two daggers and make 4-5 melee touch attacks for no damage with a SoD on all of them? In order to use Master Ruseman (Hitting) with Ruses: Heart Strike, the Swashbuckler first has to make a normal attack and hit with it (to trigger Master Ruseman (Hitting) and get t...
