Will look into. Also, Lokathor's stuff has also apparently been taken down from Gitbook/Github, so I'm working on getting the LaTeX moved over to MultiMarkdown a little more quickly than I was originally (the same glacial pace that updates have come at for the past few years, in fact). Good news, my...

The release date is a little strange, but this is what I've got. Please note that there are two PDF files now, one intended solely for printing, and the other the more traditional version intended for use on electronic devices.

Creating the pdf requires a compiler, and the latest version of TeXLive installed. (There used to be some weird dependencies for pdflatex included in the repo but I've done my best to make it compatible with a standard TeXlive install). Generally you'll need a Mac or Linux/Unix system. I don't think...

Funny, I committed changes to the awesometome googlecode repo for the first time in a year, and thought I'd check back and post about it, and I find that people have picked it back up again. Hurrah! I worked on things in a slightly different direction, which was starting to split the formatting betw...

Here's a bunch of unrelated thoughts about Legend. I've spent a couple of hours with it, mostly class and feat and item and ability stuff, not much combat. No play experience as of yet. Fourth, overall power level compared to the Tomes was intentional. The Tomes were written as a way to take an exis...

Tome Soldier Clarification
So, quick question: in the Tome Soldier Maneuvers description, is a "standard attack" one attack, or a standard action used to make a full attack (i.e. all attacks entitled by BAB)?

Awright. Got the first session played through. Played an Elf Conjurer, 20 Int, the works. Most of the first session was simply spent looking for traps in a rather nasty kobold dungeon, but when we finally did break out into a fight (against 12 kobolds and their two giant lizard mounts), I managed to...

The conjurer and transmuter options are both pretty terrible. The PHB2 has a conjurer ACF that lets you swap your familiar for an immediate action teleport and is better than either of them. Familiars are still better than any stupid wizard tricks. I don't think the DM will kill my familiar. But wh...

We are thankfully starting at third level, so I have access to second level spells. (and going on from there). Probably looking to prohibit Evocation and either Illusion or Divination, likely specialize in either Transmutation or Conjuration. Any ideas for getting rid of my walking XP loss, err... f...

Illusion Magic: I Don't Believe This Crap
Illusion magic has the distinguishing characteristic of being either the most powerful school of magic, or the least -- entirely at the whims of your playgroup. Illusions can be used as distractions, threats, enticements, concealment, modes of communication, prisons, attacks, disguises, false targe...

Thanks, gents. Any suggestions on how to trade my XP-liability familiar for something more interesting/useful? Or should I keep it and just make him stupid-powerful? Additionally, given the following scores (before adjustments): Str 12 Dex 14 Con 16 Int 18 Wis 14 Cha 11 Would you: A) Keep as is, and...

I wonder if Kickstarter will be where the next new indie game comes from. They are funding like three games I'd actually like to look at. You know, I was wondering how to finish up the Tome of Awesome. Wonder if we funded it on kickstarter and actually paid people to sit down and work on it if it w...

Spell Points + Tome Game = ?? (Profit)
So, jumped into a new campaign/gaming group, managed to convince the DM that we should use Tome because it's actually less likely that we'll have TPKs (since it's me and three new players), and because we're teaching new people how to play D&D, he suggested spell points. Which I'm a fan of. I kn...

Page 35-36 in Tome v07.rev139 indicates that the Knight's code of conduct is essentially arbitrary. It also needs to be updated to reflect the actual code of conduct that the Knight class has, but that's a sword of a different energy (probably Stupid). You might ask Frank or K why the Knight cannot ...
