I didn't notice that this thread was about pathfinder. Failed a spot perception check. It happens. *Edit: Forgot this was about Pathfinder. Failed my Decipher Script Linguistics*2 check. *2Edit 2: Damn it. While I like and use skill consolidation, spot check has a nicer ring to it than the p...

I know nothing about balance and whatnot, but these look pretty interesting and fun to run (wondering what havoc I can wreak with Ice Make and Deep Freeze). Also, yay for new monsters. They don't seem that common in IMOI*.

*Except for Pokemon, which are awesome.

Wow, that's a lot of options. Thanks guys. I'm tempted to (and just may) start jogging more. I'm surprised no one posted anything TRPG or video game related though.

Thankfully Knuckles never faced the damn th...

The PC version of Sonic 3 and Knuckles that I got on a bootlegged cd as a kid. It's a solid platformer with great music (and one extremely irritating section that's impossible to pass without a walkthrough), but there was one feature that I really enjoyed. There was an option to play as Sonic and Ta...

Podcasts you follow?

In an effort to saturate every waking moment of my life with some form of media or other, I found a gap during jogging that I'd like to fill.

I'm guessing large scale events might help. Ancient evil returning, alien invasion, war, civil war, natural disasters, political turmoil, etc. Players could choose to not take on quests involving any of those, but just being in the area will make players a part of the event. Even if they just choose...

Yeah, but what if there's a wall on the other side? Also, tumble is a dex thing and not a class skill for say, the Barbarian.

How about a more powerful version and/or omnidirectional version of Bullrush being available to use on opponents who're pinned or lifted?

I like the Alexandrian's advice of " Don’t prep plots, prep situations. " I usually try to figure out the setting, surrounding area, monsters, unique NPCs, and draw a map or something. I assign backgrounds, personalities, goals, etc. to important NPCs and then just throw players at the sit...

... What? What I say something is cool I mean it. I'm guessing uber suspected you of referring to the ' Cool Story Bro ' meme. Not sure when I first heard the phrase, but I used it completely sincerely on the interwebs for quite some time before I realized it was an insult. That said, this is prett...

This spell restores a petrified creature to its normal state, restoring life and goods. The creature must make a DC 15 Fortitude save to survive the process. Any petrified creature, regardless of size, can be restored. The spell also can convert a mass of stone into a fleshy substance. Such flesh i...

This is amazing. Can't wait to have fights in places like these. The vertical options like the catwalk, stairs, balconies, etc. are nifty. Especially like the items lying around as those actually have a good reason for being there. I think there should be a way to trip more than one person at a time...

Re: Who are we having for dinner?

That's entirely a cultural thing. There have been real life cultures where eating your dead enemies was a sign of respect, and eating your enemy was considered the highest form of flattery. That's interesting. It would still depend on the party however. Personally, I wouldn't mind doing it to acqui...

Re: Who are we having for dinner?

If you have a troll, no one has to die, profit. I'd bring up conservation of energy (i.e. the troll would still need to eat, and eating himself would at best have diminishing returns), but usually the answer to that is magic. Is troll regeneration fueled by magic? If so, then this is completely via...
