I played in a Age of Worms up until about The Spire of Long Shadows Hogarth describes. 1. You absolutely need to be able to deal with swarms, during the whole of the campaign. There's in fact so many random swarms thrown in that can destroy a conventional party, it made me sad. 2. Having anyone be i...

I think you can't roll less than 1 die, so with enough people it's not even relevant. Similarly, armour is then useless against weak things and only of benefit against anything stronger than that.

Most of the problems I hear voiced with 5e are how it doesn't manage to emulate any of the interesting things that the older editions did, and has dulled a lot of those experiences; Liches and Pit Fiend losing all scariness (magic) and being reduced to bruisers and brawlers. Dragons of collossal pow...

1) Or you don't take the extra +2 Strength which matters very little at that point and avoid those penalties. 2) Or you take 1 level in Independent Droid and get completely around that limitation of not hurting people by taking it. A prestige class you can get at level 4 or something. 3) Or you buy ...

I think the whole point of Aid Another in Star Wars Saga is to be able to play against a large group of enemies, and pretend like they're meaningful, because the GM using turn after turn of autofire or fishing for crits is just excessively lethal.

Can you spoiler some of those wider pictures in Chapter 2? They make it a pain to read on 19".

I have had the pleasure of playing in a long-running Star Wars Saga campaign for over two years now, with about 50 sessions under the belt. I have had a lovely time, feeling very welcome in my MC's (and part of the group's) unbound enthusiasm for Star Wars. There's a bunch of formally expressed agre...

Goatfolk (Ibixian) from the Monster Manual 3 for 3.5. Games are close enough alike you don't need to convert a lot.

EDIT: Can't seem to link the websource due to symbols. Here you go:

I can imagine a surplus of troops for the purpose of having more troops to order around, even if units get destroyed. Hence, not having more orders than troops to use them on.

#1. That's not true. High DR or Damage Soak rolls completely fix this. I agree it's not a problem with the initiative system, but I wanted to point it out, as I think it's a bad mechanic. I think interrupts would solve both #2 and #3. If a higher initiative character gets to hear a lower initiative ...

Some problems I believe are inherent to your mechanics: 1. If damage is summed before soaking, a rhinoceros will still be at the mercy of a horde of bunnies. 2. Due to a lack of retro-active hitting or missing there is absolutely no space for buffs to increase improve an ally's THAC0, DR, provide mi...

Delayed resolution sounds like it'd be a nightmare to bookkeep any conflict with multiple parties. Can you write out how you imagine a round to go for 3 actors, how about 8? Does it scale at all?
