Ah, yes, parameters... Well, seeing as this is a concept that somebody posted in this thread that I happened to like, I'm not really too fuzzy about exactly what the parameters are, to be honest. I will do my very best to describe them as far as I see the character, so far: I don't really like the &...

<physics with heat> Just off the top of my head, you could control heat in the atmosphere and ocean in such a way as to not only control climate but also reverse impending climate change. You could run DSM's Reverse Entropy Man for civilian applications by creating a heat engine that provides every...

Oh man, so many good ideas, thanks so much! I will definitely start to read Worm, it should be interesting for more ideas. I especially like the Termokinesis, Momentum Transfer, and Summon Bananas. I've never really thought of the powers' paramaters as being the most important, it's a very good way ...

Non-conventionally powerful Super Powers
If there's anything that I can say about TGD from all my time lurking around here, it would be that you're creative in measures beyond anything else I see on the net when it comes to RPGs. I'm hoping to get some help with that creativity! I'm going to start a new Super Hero-campaign tomorrow with my...

About 6 months back I made myself two PDFs, for the same reasons you guys want to make another revision. It's a Player's Handbook and GM's Guide (the latter being quite a bit shorter than the first), and it's basically copy-pasted, edited and compiled from the various Tome threads and errata around ...

Looking for the "right" rules-lite system
So, after a couple of years of trying out various systems with both of my gaming groups, both as a GM and player (but mostly GM), I now want to try out something more rules-lite. What we've played so far is Eon (Swedish low-fantasy, extremely rules heavy), a slightly homebrew version of Chimera RPG,...

Nice ideas! I'll definitely find some use for them. And about those warnings... as I made clear in my post, my group likes puzzles and riddles, otherwise I would not do it. I've read that post before, and while it's a good one, it doesn't apply to a group that knows that it likes these kinds of thin...

Puzzles
My gaming group have recently started playing our own West March-style campaign, and we're having great fun. So far, though, I haven't really made any bigger dungeons; it's mostly been smaller caves or ruins. The players really enjoy dungeons and dungeon-related puzzles, though, so that's what I'm g...

Yeah, saw that. Good to have it on paper, or ones-and-zeroes, as it were. I've already made the appropriete changes to my PDF and treasure tables. I made the specific magical armours (as you've written them) into their own table, as I felt they didn't fit into the table of the special abilities that...

I guess I'll just implement starting money depending on class, then. Still, I'm unsure if it should be random or fixed... I really like your changes with the armours! Definitely going to implement them. A question, though: how would the rules on temperature and environments (below) work with the Lea...

Starting on max HP at first level is a 3e thing too. I let my players roll, then they can choose to take the roll or the average of the dice (rounded up). So a Cleric rolls a D8, then could choose the result or 4. It meant that max hp was still as rare, but evened out the low rolls and meant rollin...

Ok, now we're actually getting quite close to playing, so thanks for all the help! Just wondering, what Character Sheet do you guys usually use when playing Tome games? It seems that it requires some more space for Feats, which I can't really see in the default sheets. Do you make your own sheets, o...

Re: Making a Tome game and...
Ok then, that clears it up, thanks! Having a core Monk and a Core Druid both available as things players can choose is just as bad as having Tome Thief-Acrobat and Tome Fighter both available as things players can choose. Exactly why wouldn't you have Tome Fighter and Thief Acrobat in the same game?...
