Hearthstone generates $20 million per month in revenue, which is about the same as MTG.

I wonder if computer games are killing TTRPGs through attrition of talent. It seems like the only people who care about building more elegant and expressive game systems are deep into CRPG design jobs and not fiddling with TTRPGs for a fraction of the pay. I've suspected this as well, but I don't r...

Fortunately, Pathfinder lets you craft magic items, including scrolls, without knowing the prerequisite spell so you don't have to suck the DM's or a party member's cock to fill up your spellbook like in 3.5E. It's still a pretty big hit to your finances. Hmm, are you sure about this? Scribe Scroll...

Pathfinder added way too much fiddly shit. Traits, Alternate Racial Traits, Favored Class Bonuses, Archetypes, etc. Their "FAQ"/stealth errata are labyrinthine and retarded, too. They didn't really fix anything major like class balance, but at least all the material is free and it's a livi...

It's silly to have gold and magic items in separate economies. A mercenary army is way more effective than a +1 battleaxe, so what exactly makes the battleaxe priceless?
either Paizo still is super-worried about people getting spells from somewhere else (gasp) or they got lost in their own FAQ labyrinth or (and this makes a lot of sense to me) they are preparing for when the arcanist hits the shelves and shoots the remaining notions of &q...

It's because Paizo (stupidly) sometimes makes "rules changes" in their FAQ. This is a straight up change to how paragon surge functions. Why they do this instead of just using errata is beyond me.
Because they only publish er...
It's level 10. But like how does there being no resource even work in a game where fucking wall of iron and shit exists?
If it's anything like 2e dark sun, all spells that generate water, iron, etc are banned.

Even in the vanilla PHB there is a lot of room for optimization. Some powerful stuff: Shorty races get big saving throw bonuses and tons of other useful bonuses. Multiclassing is incredibly powerful because of the way the experience tables are set up--you're usually only 1 level behind(or 2 for trip...
