And now that we know those 2 quests require higher Amonour, they are presumably of higher difficulty level than the rest, so we should probably leave them to the last even if we gain enough Amonour after this quest.

(I'm also meta-gaming a bit here....the GM just gave us the opportunity to gain just 1 Salacoin, which gives us exactly 10 GP, so I'm hazarding a guess that the item that costs exactly 10 GP may be a necessary item.)

My feeling is that if the GM is offering something that's not available in the original text, we should take it because chances are it's something good that we missed earlier. Maybe having the Trinket spells trouble eventually.

I vote for another caravan quest, but failing that my second choice would be finding weeds for Dree women.

There may be critical Luck tests too (like getting our backpack back, remember?), so I'd like to put a point or two in LUCK at least. I doubt this book will start throwing SK 12 opponents at us this early - it's not written by Livingstone. We should be able to make do well with SK 10 or 11.

I vote to join Nanoc now, since there probably won't be an opportunity later.

I mean, that may be true for the other options as well, but theoretically the other places should still be around after we come back from completing a quest, but I doubt the caravan will wait for us.

Nanoc provides a quest. I think we should do some training before setting off on a quest. I think we should join Nanoc for our second attempt after we're redirected back here from the first training. For the first training I still want to learn Spelling (just because it didn't help in that one quest...
