{That's everyone's init, isn't it?

The vague justification for our group's existence mostly works for me. Tammi enjoys having people around to screw with, at least, and has realized that pawns^H^H^H^H^Hallies are more useful if you stick with the same set for a while.

I picked up a d20 and rolled it. As I understand, Kaelik and I are of the same opinion: if you are really pathetic enough to cheat on PbP, you have other problems.

I think a PbP is perfect for ITT. I'd recommend starting a new thread (keeping this one as the OOC/org thread, just to make things easier.)

I'm ready to go, well, whenever. What's the full party?

Well, shit. I'll have to revise my self-defense plans, I don't want to cause friendly casualties all across the courtyard. Objection withdrawn.

(Also, fix your quotes so the thread gets unbroken, godsdamnit.)

So I'll admit I don't know that much about military hardware, but a standard frag grenade does damage out to 18m. Seriously, that's almost sixty feet. I know shrapnel flies, but it seems weird that everyone that far out still gets clipped for 2L.

you get a benefit equal to the number of tokens you bid unless your opponent bids one less in which case your bid counts against you ...no, I meant it like this: the pursuer and the pursued take (say) six tokens each, hide a number of them in their right hands, then reveal them simultaneously and r...

So in exalted, there are all sorts of Weeaboo Fighting Moves. Squid Tentacle Rape Technique, Immortal Stars Stance, whatever. I don't even care. My point is that a bunch of them have text like this: Sleepy Slap: Spend 7 essence and make an attack; if you hit, put your opponent to sleep for twelve ti...

Meaningful status effects without rocket launcher tag

I've been thinking about a problem for a while now that I can't work out a good design for: How can you make a system where a) getting hit matters; wound penalties exist, and my sword attacks set you on fire or put you to sleep or whatever because I'm awesome. Nyaaah. b) the first hit isn't a kill? ...

Very cool (and a city I recognize for once!)

Minor nit: seasons 4 and 5 of BtVS happened at UC Sunnydale, not 3.

Ok, Tammi's specced out. Removed the shield he wasn't proficient in (doh!) and added Lightning Reflexes (ew, but I'm underleveled for the only fiend feats worth taking. Are there any other good caster feats? I have trouble finding ones.) The only weakness atm is that I have essentially no at-will st...

Kaelik: 2) Frank says in the (non cut off part of) The Book of Gears Magic Item/Weapon section, that minor magic items should be at most Caster Level 5. Mirror Image is a Spell level 2 spell, thus snaggable at Level 3. So a Ring of the thing is a feasible thing to have on a minor. Check the PDF, it...

Items: Book of Gears. If you need to come up with items of your own.. Well, that probably won't apply at character generation, since mostly only basic ones. But you only get 4 at start. That's my Rule, I can't remember Franks original limit on how fast you gain slots, but I think you only get one i...

How many players are you taking? Once you answer imperialspectre, I'll make something--probably a caster, but quite possibly a Sphere-based one. Would you be OK with a True Fiend or Conduit? :P

Anyone up for a Tome Red Hand Run on the Gaming Den? Tome classes subbing for shitty NPCs too. Probably use some of the upgrade options, like Black to Juvenile, ect. Say yea? This stuff's great, Frank. I'd second the calls for some in-play examples, though, just so I can be more sure that I'm understanding it. Just little stuff, like: Tammi the Technomancer is on-site with her team at the Ares firebase. They've gotten past the physical defenses; time for her to get the d...
