I actually did run a ~year-long DnD 5e. It was only tolerable because of winging it while pissed - and just using 3.5 rules where they hadn't filled any in. We found Stealth to be reasonably satisfying... :D. Just in case I wasn't clear enough, fuck 5e. Don't go there. Lie if necessary. Run 3.5 inst...

..Is it just me, or is the Ranger's Guidebook a nod to the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer ? That said, this looks pretty solid throughout, and I would like to echo the admiration of actually following through on an internet bet like this! Only odd thing that leapt at me - combat group tests...

True. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, and see them stick to largely <6 wounds, but rumblings of Rhinos with double-digit HP.. yeah, not positive. On the templates, yeah, I'd only really looked at it in terms of stats, but on the table they do differentiate themselves from (for exampl...

re: Flamer templates. I'd put money that part of the problem is D-Scythes - Strength D template weapons. They basically delete whole units when they get in range (or Deep Strike...). Wouldn't be at all surprised to see the 'Wall of Death' rule be adopted (D3 auto-hits) for firing templates in every ...

Does a double weapon count as a 2H weapon on both ends for purposes of adding strength to damage? citation: A character can fight with both ends of a double weapon as if fighting with two weapons, but he or she incurs all the normal attack penalties associated with two-weapon combat, just as though...

Or, on top of the Mighty Wallop tree, add Eldritch Claws and Beast Strike, both feats. Add Eldritch Blast damage + Unarmed damage as claws, then add all that back onto your Unarmed strikes. So, most conservative reading would be GMW+UD+EB, most RAW is, IMO, GMW+UD+EB+GMW+UD. Which makes shit explode...

Koumei, either would be awesome - given that you're meant to be able to create your own for the existing class (per the web design article), I'd lean towards the build-a-bear option. I'd also love you forever* if you did either of these things, because Binder is my favorite class, and I'm aware it s...

Ah, apologies - didn't spot that part of your plan. I'm pretty sure 'no' is the answer, because of the line about needing LoE to the image, as Relentless says. You might be able to argue the case that as the spell is originating from the image, the 'you' implies the point of origin, but I don't thin...

Can you chain cast project image to extend your spell reach even farther and around all sorts of corners? Yes, that's sort of the point: http://dndtools.pw/spells/players-handbook-v35--6/project-image--2693/ 'can originate from the projected image instead of from you' - so LoE, etc, are drawn from ...

Between 4e and 5e which one is easier to house rule into a better game. Uh.... You basically have to write your own game from scratch in either case. Since 3e exists, and 5e is just 3e + bounded accuracy + we deleted half the rules, it's probably easier to copy paste 3e into all the holes in 5e (wh...
