Re: Fixing Grapple Rules.
1077322056[/unixtime]] Interesting note: neither the rules for attacking with a light weapon nor the rules for attacking with a natural weapon are in the SRD. Apparently they are closed content, possibly because they are retarded (although the rules for attacking with your opponent's light weapon a...

Re: Fixing Grapple Rules.
Well, the easiest thing to do is to change opposed checks to DCs. d20 + modifier vs 11 + modifier. Kind of reversing the silly opposed save system with 3.0 psionics. That involves very little in the way of rules rewriting.[br][br]My only problem with the 3.5 grapple rules (beyond complexity issues) ...

Re: Early Level Survival ... with an Arcane Trickster
Well, in 3.0 if you ice storm an annis hag, mummy, or skeleton it would be affected since their bludgeoning resistance/vulnerability wasn't DR. But in 3.5, it is (DR 2/bludegon, DR 5/-, or DR 5/bludgeon). I'd consider it a simple artifact of the gravitation towards DR.

IIRC, 60 is the fastest nonmagical speed for humanoids. So BoS&S would make that 120. I'd say your move is 80.

Hey, I'm not saying they're bad. I like 'em. I just saying they're not as good a rogue as a rogue and not as good a wizard as a wizard. If you already have both in your game, play something else. They are, however, better rogues than wizards are, and better wizards than rogues are.

That depends. If you are using the FRCS experience system it functions exactly as it does in 3.5 except that ECL races are messed up in a more confusingly written fashion. [br][br]Yes, Frank, if you're using optional rules in a different book and a special campaign setting, the rules are different....

As I've said elsewhere, this has only convinced me that DFMD is an abberation to the system and should not be used.[br][br]It ignores the fundamental concept of the hp system that dealing 9 damage to a creature with max 10 hp is more damaging that dealing 50 damage to a creature with max 100 hp, and...

Re: Early Level Survival ... with an Arcane Trickster
In 3.0, if you remember, XP was determined by average party level, not based on individual level.
So, at 1/2 XP share he would require roughly 26.66 encounters to level, while you still require 13.33.

Actually, I like the Skullclan Hunter from the MiniH. Amusingly enough, it's another hybrid PrC. Re: Magic Item List for Rogues
The problem is that the line is entirely inconsistent with the way that Ethereal, Ghost Touch, and Incorporeal function... even under 3.0. Why does blink even mention incorporeal when the spell doesn't make you so? The mechanics of that one line of the spell -- indeed, that lone word of the spell --...

Etherealness and Ghost Touch
1075405598[/unixtime]]Speaking of Sneak Attacking - if you have a Ghost Touch weapon the Ring of Blinking is all kinds of crazy hillarity. [br][br]That doesn't work, Frank. Blink makes you Ethereal. Ghost Touch simply allows you to strike incorporeal creatures. Incorporeal creatures aren't Ethereal...
