Oh, hell no. I don't think you could make a combat weapon like that, because there's no way you could include any sort of functional tang. Usually made short, for obvious reasons. -Username17 Your examples all have a 'main' blade, clearly not the same as the nonsense in the illustration.

Armor Class. When a knight gets hit with a sword, it often doesn't hurt because he's wearing armor.

Armor as DR is already covered in the rules. It's DRinfinity/high to-hit rolls.

What are you talking about? Practically anything magical in LotR is an artifact. The Barrow-swords? Totally artifacts. The trick to artifacts is something we've talked about before- they need to always be level-appropriate. (Or their presence raises the level the characters play at to something appr...

How would size affect magic? Would Mindflayers be more powerful mages, but easier to hit? Would bigger 'minds' equal better, or would the small-minded have certain advantages? Or are we talking about hitting people with fireballs? So a Flame Giant has fireballs that cover 40ft and a fairy's fireball...

Keep discussion here, except for issues of exact wording. (Legalese). It's easier to work here.

Wikis eat up space because they keep track of all edits. Let's try not to have mountains of discussion pages too.

Also, I'm more familiar with bbcode.

Re: Skylord's Tears: A campaign

The wizard can be equally affected by this if you say that his spellbook is a magic item that he must be attuned to to cast a spell he prepared from it. The problem comes not from the weapon, but from the armor. A character, such as a wizard (or rogue), who does not need to wear magic armor is at an...

Re: Threads that make us Laugh, Cry, or Both, Continued

A trend in MMOs seems to be 'War' games, wherein there is some constant conflict. WoW and Warhammer Online are the prominant examples of this. It would be interesting if a mechanic could be implemented for a side to 'win' the war, even if the balance of the two sides meant it never happened. This wo...

You will want to consider the implications of non-mech combat. half of your classes aren't mechs, and are not constrained by things such as arms when it comes to carrying weapons. [br]This is vital.
