And let's not forget the way he dismisses people who refute any of his points by merely asserting that they didn't refute his points. He's mostly complaining about his thread because people refuse to bow down to him as some kind of God of Reason whose judgements are beyond question.

Addressing the spoiler blocks in order: Tone of Debate : I do agree that the freedom to say anything you want doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea to say the most vicious thing on your mind all the time. However, you've not only done this, you were a leading force in making "go suck x numb...

Are any of the quotes incorrect, unsourced, or out of context? How would you know? Were you there? No you weren't. You are a mindless drone. In all my time of reading what you have posted, as tedious as it was, I haven't seen a shred of individuality, just smug self-assuredness mixed with ample dos...

I never cared all that much about why Palin left office, especially when the main reasons I heard until recently were 'stress from media/hecklers/etc'. What I care about is that apparently people (and she?) believe she is running for President next term, and is actually a good choice after this. I ...

The GOP has no big ideas at the moment. They're suffering from the same problem the Democrats were in the Bush elections: a lack of charismatic leader. Kerry and Gore may have had influence, but their starpower wasn't enough to defeat Bush. Obama has that charisma, regardless of actual policy, so t...

These changes are only apparent changes due to shifts in the way alexa measures traffic, not real changes in popularity. Except that WotC's numbers keep declining after the initial slide (even going down during the time after 4e's release, despite the big surge in traffic when they first put it on ...

It's more than just that - even appointing Clinton was a clear sign that he was going to focus domestically and let someone else do foreign affairs. Which is kind of funny, given that he has more credentials in foreign affairs. After all, his undergrad degree was in international relations. In fact...

The quality of MST3K was going downhill in its later days on Comedy Central. Granted, some of that had to do with the fact that they'd exhausted just about all the sci-fi and horror B movies they could get access to. I was hoping that access to Sci-Fi's exclusive collection of old SF movies would he...

Well, MST3K was really on its last legs when they cancelled it. But they've been a perrenial disappointment. In the beginning, they used to have a news show that covered all the different kinds of science fiction--not only TV and movies, but books too. Ever since they cancelled that, they've been d...

Check the data. The number of hits WotC's getting from search engines went up (last tab on the graph). Odds are their recent surge is from that traffic rather than a dedicated cadre of followers.

The debate isn't around being a US citizen, it's about being a "natural born US citizen" or however the fuck the Constitution phrases it. The term isn't defined Actually, it is. And Obama would meet the criteria even if he was born in Kenya, since his mother was a citizen and would have l...

D&D Online becomes free to play

Maximum PC article So, I'm not sure what to make of the fact that a 3.5-based MMO is going to free play. Is this WotC saying, "It's the previous edition; why try to make money on it"? Or is this WotC saying, "The best way to pump up the brand is to maximize exposure to things based o...
