Re: New D&D Podcast

Does anyone else find this whole podcast trend to be annoying? What's wrong with just writing it down?

Re: How to Play a Wizard

Gray Elf is core, the substitution levels are in Races of Rabbitfucking.[br][br]Your low-level tactics will consist of Color Spray and Silent Image. Glitterdust and Web are the kings of level 2 spells as well.[br][br]A lot of playing a lower-level wizard is about coming up with creative usage for Si...

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. It's not scientific obviously, but most people I know like FF12 quite a bit.

Re: Cleric Paladin

You realize the cleric's not even the worst abuser, right? Incantatrix bullshit is worse than Divine Metamagic: Persistent Spell ever will be.

If it's a written document, you just cut and paste it into the input box and hit "Reply".

Re: Cleric Paladin

What are you talking about? It sure is a built-in class feature. Every last cleric takes Divine Metamagic: Persistent Spell. This is not optional. Whether or not it costs a couple feats is a nonissue anyway because you can just persist that spell that grants you a feat.

Re: Cleric Paladin

You can't give full-BAB, full cleric casting, heavy armor and all martial weapons because that is better than a cleric. [br]Uh, that -is- the cleric, save for martial weapons (and who cares about them?). [br] You are forgetting the mount, lay on hands, smite evil and remove disease, Aura of Grace a...

Re: Cleric Paladin

Why is everyone trying to gimp its casting? Just leave it be. Full cleric casting. Trading away turning for paladin abilities is already giving away more than you're getting, why is everyone trying to give away more?

I have to concur with Catharz here. Koumei's example of increasing dice quickly becomes a pain in the ass when you're rolling physical dice.

If it "eventually makes a new body" on its own, I don't see why it should be forced into one specific look.

Re: Tiefling vs Gnome

Seeing as how they already have every non-humanoid race as a single distinct entity with pretty much one attitude and viewpoint, why can't they get with the picture and make gnomes ruthless capitalist inventors and businessmen who have come to take your money and your land, without you even realizin...

Re: More Threads that make us Laugh, Cry, or Both

As far as actually getting use out of pthreads...it got a lot better after LinuxThreads was replaced with NPTL.

I have no idea what Crissa is referring to, but any process that isn't completely swapped out and not using the CPU is obviously going to impact performance.

Yeah, there are. GFDL minus the clauses, Creative Commons, whatever the hell recent version of the Artistic License...[br][br]But why? Frank already stated his works are in the public domain. Of course, they don't bother saying how the hell we use so much CPU/memory despite our low number of visitors. The only way I can think of there is if people are constantly running their completely shitty search feature.

We need to get back to threads that make us laugh or cry instead of arguments with idiots. I mean, I know there has been a bit of a dearth lately because linking to the WotC boards is just too easy, but still.
