At 5th level, it looks like the ability "Energy Effect (Acid and Electricity)" should be "Elemental Exchange (Acid and Electricity)" - and Elemental Exchange instead of Energy Exchange for levels 9 (Sonic) and 13 (Force, Negative). Unless I'm very very confused (true anyway)?

If you didn't have much iron in the core , I imagine that your world would be bombarded with a lot more cosmic radiation, due to not having a magnetic field as strong as the Earth's (or any magnetic field for that matter). The surface would probably be an irradiated wasteland. You might possibly hav...

Really, things that aren't bigger than the people casting Miracle shouldn't be interceding in the first place. Intercession points should have a minimum size that reflects this. The ninth-level spell for calling on the services of a CR 10 creature is called Summon Monster IX , and costs nothing to ...

As I said, I know you guys strip the game of all tactics and play it like it's a video game where your choices are ATTACK ITEM RUN, And "Higher priority target" is MMO PvP logic. The bottom line is that you guys throw tactics out the window and then complain that combat is boring and hard...

I've cleaned up the first three paragraphs, hopefully the creation/use parts are clearer. The part which uses the Points in miracle is also changed, it should have more well-defined effects now.

There's also a possible other explanation why the governments don't overtly use or necessarily control magic: most people in the government aren't Luminaries. When they come into contact with the supernatural and undergo what would transform Luminaries into superbeings, they're consumed by it rather...

Okay, I've altered the radius on the IP'd up Miracle effect. It shouldn't be *quite* so scaling-go-nuts; if centered on the middle of Seattle, it would probably roast most of Redmond and vaporize a few whales. As opposed to taking out the entire state (Corresponding areas to the latter would be: all...

The bolded lines are things that have been done--or at least attempted (to my knowledge). Miracle rewrite also, since you're including "attempted" in there. As far as defining Good vs. Evil, giving multiple options like in Tome of Necromancy/Tome of Fiends is probably the best way to go. ...

Heh. Yes, if the imps are casting miracle , you have bigger problems. :P ...and I just realized that the radius calculates out to 20 times that large. Argh. Then again, I actually don't have a sense of scale that big, so it might have needed adjusting anyway. Note to self: check map site on the inte...

A monster suddenly gets a lot more powerful if it gives intercession points to something else and has it cast Miracle -- like, Balors don't have any abilities in their stat block that lets them create an effect with a radius of 200 miles, so what gives? Maybe that's what Balors should be doing, and...

[Tome of Virtue] Miracle fix

Okay, here’s a draft for a (hopefully) not-broken miracle. I’ve tried to run with the idea of “Intercession Points” Frank mentioned in the Tome of Fiends thread. Intercession Points Usually, when you do someone a favor, they are expected to give you a personal favor or some sort of physical (or phys...

Re: Your combat schtick should be separate from your non-com

Hadn't read this before. I see the logic, but I think some choices should combine both combat and non-combat choices. If I'm a shapechanger who kills people by turning into various scary animals in combat, then I should be able to gain information by turning into a rat or raven outside combat. It w...

What tags are being used in the HTML? If they're fairly simple and have corresponding board tags, you might be able to do a mass search-and-replace. Turning "<a href=" to "[url=" and the like.

It probably wouldn't be *as* pretty, but eh.

With my siblings and I, my parents specifically picked our names to be a stretch to make fun of, which basically meant that they're crazy common. Doesn't hurt that our last name is one of the most common in the country, as well.

Don't know Exalted but... Shadowrun 4th edition has two condition tracks, Physical and Stun. Your Physical damage meter has 8+Body/2 boxes and Stun has 8+Willpower/2 boxes (boxes = hit points). This doesn't scale with level, but does with the mentioned stats. Every 3 boxes in a given track gives you...

That works. What else does AWoD need before it's done? To be roughly playable, the rest of the non-interest skills, powers for the Fallen, finalizing the Devotions and powers for the Disciplines, and actual rules for what the powers do. I think we have Fortitude, Celerity, and Walk of Flame (from a...

Combat healing isn't part of the D&D idiom though. I think that's more due to how effective healing is right now than it is part of the concepts included in D&D - my understanding is that in past editions healers actually did cast healing spells in the middle of combat. It probably relates ...

Were we going to combine spell lists for the divine and arcane spellcasters somewhere down the line? I'm not sure what you could mean by this. There isn't an "Arcane Caster Spell List" or "Divine Caster Spell List" - there's a "Wizard/Sorceror List" and a "Cleric ...

Hm. I'm presuming the White Mage is supposed to be a sort of "protect and restore" version of the Fire Mage/Marshall/etc., but relying on (meaningfully large) healing powers and abjuration-type effects, rather than inspiration (like the Marshal) or offensive/control powers (like the Fire M...
