Re: Let's talk Iron Heroes

There are also traits in the Player's Companion that increase your effective mastery by 1 for various specific feat trees while giving you some bonuses and one that lets you pick the feat tree but gives no bonuses. In general, multiclassing is pretty good in Iron Heroes since not all the classes hav...

Re: Let's talk Iron Heroes

The text that Frank referred to was changed in Iron Heroes Revised to:[br] At 2nd, 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th levels, you gain a bonus feat that must come from the Projectile feat category. You can spend this selection on any Projectile feat of your choice, provided that you meet its mastery requirem...

Re: Threads that make us Laugh, Cry, or Both

Mechanics-hating nut Kiero, who doesn't even play D&D yet constantly makes threads about it, starts this thread asking what people did to customize their characters before feats, leading to a hilarious series of 'my edition is better than your edition'-type arguments.[br][br] There are games out...

Re: Threads that make us Laugh, Cry, or Both

Did you seriously expect any sensible discussion at rpg.net? Thanks for helping make that one of the funniest threads I've seen recently, though.

Re: Threads that make us Laugh, Cry, or Both

The sole reason I read RPG.net nowadays is to find stupid threads. Speaking of which, Shirak, why bother arguing with the dude in this thread about sneak attack builds ? When somebody says that the rules mandate there only be eleven classes and non-PHB classes are illegal they are either hopelessly ...

Re: Advice for a WoD Neophyte: What things are crucial or fu

I think it behooves you to do enough research to avoid elementary mistakes like that if you're going to deal with an issue as complex and emotive as sectarian violence, even as some throwaway background point. Try reading the Wikipedia article at least.

Re: Absolutely Essential Arcane Spells .... although Non-Cor

Not precisely essential, but Cursed Blade (Assassin/Hexblade 4) from Complete Warrior is good for a laugh, since it's not immediately obvious that it's in effect until a healing spell does nothing, which tends to give players a surprise.

Small correction, Frank: You can't be a N cleric of Pelor because Pelor isn't N. Not that it changes your point.

Improved Buckler Defence from Complete Warrior would also seem to allow you to use a buckler with a two-handed weapon, at the cost of -1 to hit.

Re: Unearthed Arcana Cheeselist.

Thanks for your analysis, Frank. One point: the Lion barbarian doesn't get the standard fast movement, so it seems relatively poor to choose the Lion totem if you're going for a one-level dip.
