I think it's more of a combination; what you said is true, but I think part of it is that we've all just gotten used to that being his typical way of communicating.

Something about the way her face is arranged around her nose is unattractive, that, along with the masculine shape of her jaw and large forehead, not that I've got any room to talk in the particular area, stops her from going from decently pretty to noticeably attractive; in that picture at least, a...

It is a stereotype deeply rooted in the western psyche; that didn't happen for no reason.

Come to think of it, your ranting has completely lost its impact, you're pretty much like a less interesting and likable Phonelobster now.

For my husband, it's just the opposite. If he's at a point in his work where he needs stimulants to keep going, he's better off taking a nap. If he sucks it up, it takes him longer to do simple tasks and he makes significantly more errors that require him to redo chunks of his work. So he can pile ...

Pretty much this. Have scheduled work times, relax a bit before said time, set yourself an alarm on your phone if necessary, break the work up into small chunks, give yourself intermittent rewards for doing things right, and do the appropriate drugs.

I wouldn't call Genghis Khan a scourge of civilization, more like the most atrocious wildfire ever, where the trees are people and the forest is human history; he destroyed individual cultures and nations and killed a ridiculous amount of people, but he didn't necessarily hurt civilization so much a...

If your depression is more situational than purely chemical you can cure yourself even if you're really bad. After my life fell apart a few years ago I had really fucking bad depression; joint aches, fatigue, sleeping 12+ hours a day, along with, of course, a general lack of motivation, happiness, a...

Medical Coding is enjoyable, but I hope the market for it is better in your area than mine, or that you have better luck than I do. Though my personal experience indicates otherwise, I am told by everybody related to the business that it's relatively easy to find a coding job.

So while no book is ideology free, not all books have an agenda. For some reason, that kinda makes me feel better.

Because we are our brains, essentially, we can't actually experience any sort of objective reality without it running through "ourselves"; our filters of ideology and prejudice, and the lens that's been crafted over our lives through which we process information in a way that isn't just se...

Demon Lord of Karranda or something. You know, as much as I liked the Polgara book when I was 15, I have to say David Eddings' non-fantasy is leaps and bounds better written in every way than his fantasy.

I wasn't planning on throwing out the whole system for scrutiny since it isn't codified yet and many of the ideas are sloppy, but okay: Unstructured Notes [/u] D10 dice pool system, accrue hits on an 8,9, and 10 re-roll 10s ala WoD. Every character, and likely every creature, will get a Major, Move,...

Those abilities are covered by individual powers and are not things all characters can inherently do. Two of your questions are answered in the basic rules though: You seek melee engagement in the most basic way by spending a Move action to engage one creature in melee or join a melee already in pro...

Yet Another Combat Positioning System

So I've had the basic version of the combat positioning system for my project, Ruins & Rulers, fleshed out for a little while, and with the sudden upswing of abstract positioning discussion I thought it'd be relevant to share it. Movement in Combat [/u] Unlike many games, R&R doesn’t measure...

I changed my "live and let live" policy with spiders after I found one hanging out in my bangs. Besides, their are so many spiders in this town that there's no way we could possibly get rid of them without a gassing the whole town via airstrike, not even joking.
