It can't have "sword" in the name because some will use axes. Ditto "blade" because some will use maces. Some other possibilities: Rune-something (e.g. Runeforger), Warrior-Adept. Also (something magical)-knight could work if not for the social status it implies (although that co...

I'm feeling you, but can't we brainstorm a few more names? Like Shade or Magus? Gish sounds really, really dumb if you're not using it as a nickname. I mean, yes, CHA-paladins are known as Laser Paladins colliqually but I would roll my eyes if there was actually a PP titled that. Gish isn't evocati...

The craft feats are a bad idea to start with. They're either useless or overpowered inherently, depending on how they wind up being used in the campaign. So I just got rid of them entirely, and said that anyone can craft* their own items, but they're limited to crafting one "level appropriate&...

I don't really know what to say here. I'm going to second what Jacob said about failing. What matters is that you get up afterwards when you can. Also, isolation is bad for you. I think you get this already, from what you wrote, but I figured I'd echo it to you. If your depression is keeping you fro...

A golem manual can be the same tier as the golem it makes. It's not as good as the golem it makes, and there's no reason to ever write one yourself unless you have something that gives you a discount on golem manuals, but it's still a viable treasure drop. If you add in some connection between golem...

Why are Golem Manuals banned? Having a golem manual doesn't do anything, and using it just gives you a golem, so golem manuals aren't necessarily any worse than getting a golem unless I'm missing something where a golem manual on a treasure pile is different from a deactivated golem and its command ...

Topics not getting marked read

A few days ago, topics started staying marked as unread (orange icon) even after I clicked them.

The weird thing is that a few topics get marked as read (white icon) afterwards, but only a few.

The "mark all topics read" link still works.

I'm using Chrome, in case it matters. Thanks.

I don't necessarily hate the concept of on crit stuff, but as written it's just horrible unbalanced to favor scimitars over scythes. So none of the stuff that's actually published is any good. Flaming Burst does OK. A scimitar gets a d10 on 15% of hits, the pick gets 3d10 on 5% of hits. That is fai...

Siege Crab is on as Bug/Water, but where's the Giant Crab!? It'd fit in nicely as a Siege Crab pre-evolution.

Also, Charmander and Charmeleon are listed as having Esoteric Biting Arts. Is that supposed to be Bite Club? E again: So's the Worg, Sphinx, and Remorhaz.

Sufficiently ignorant opinions are indistinguishable from trolling. The fact that you refuse to acknowledge that the Anti-Homosexuality Bill is not a genocidal campaign because it fails to meet the prerequisites of an actual genocide puts you right in that category. The fact that you maintain that ...

Basically, the issue that you're looking at is that "nanotech" is a really broad term. The main thing it has is that, because surfaces can have different properties than bulk materials, even of the same thing, and on a nanowhatever pretty much every atom is close to a surface, nanowhosits ...

Once you're level 16, most of the people you interact with are going to have immunities. Your friends can get used to you and immune to your death aura, but it still works even if they can't. They just need to go around with general immunity to however your death aura works (instakill, petrify, insa...

Grek's rewrite is much better than the original. Taking out the copying of the Frightful presence rules was a good idea. One question, though; why does the DC for the Frightful Presence scale more slowly than normal (1/3 ranks, so 1 per three instead of the usual 1 per two). Is it to make the high-e...

Prerequisites: At least 6 hit dice Benefits: 0 ranks: You gain immunity to fear. 9 ranks: You gain Frightful Presence out to 10' per hit die. Whenever you fly overhead, attack,...

Both take large amounts of dedication and practice. If you split your time between both, you won't be as good at either. Similar to 3e multiclassing, except hopefully with assured level-appropriateness, if I understand him right.

If the party only meets one Groundon in an adventure, and one of them catches it, then the intra-party balance breaks if Groundon is as good as everyone else's best pokemon combined. It doesn't matter if you can counter that with someone else who also has Groundon, unless legendaries travel in group...

I agree that legendaries should be more powerful than others of the same level. But if the math's going to work at all, then Pidgey needs to be able to hit Ho-oh at the same level. Pidgey might be badly outclassed on hit points and damage, but the choice between swatting the pidgey down or attacking...

A same level pidgey (especially a trained one) should still be something for Ho-Oh to worry about. Of course, Pidgey has little reason not to evolve.

Water could be Swimmer, Aquatic * (or just Aquatic), Diver, or we could label it as a scientist (Marine biologist, Oceanologist, whatever) Ground could be Hiker, although those were more rock type in the game. I like the smaller divisions since it allows you to have pokemon of different levels of ability, where one is overall better and another is situationally better. With stats from 1-4 and a +3 per-level bonus, a Base Meanness 1 pokemon is as mean as a Base Meanness 4 pokemon one level lower. With a +1...
