How would a larp even work with complex rules? Seems like it would suck - mechanics are just intrustive and clunky in that enviroment. Jinerviet has told me that she has seen some VERY clunky LARP rules in the past. As in, the LARP equivalent of Rifts or so. Never tried to read Rifts, so I dunno if...

A Requiem game has been going in Auckland since Feb 2007. "In February 2007, the students of the University of Auckland protested fee increases. The protest turned into a riot, and much havoc was caused. During this time, nearly all the supernaturals of the three factions were killed. Those tha...

On the topic of peeling grapes: buy as many different varieties of table grapes as you can. Some will be easier to peel than others. Oh, and if you're with someone you don't mind sharing bodily fluids with, learn to peel 'em with your teeth. Many of them are unflattering, or in some cases, you would...

Yes, to me.
And you didn't even take advantage of me, really. Friday night I gave a half dozen massages of various types, peeled many grapes, and fetched drinks.

Oh which one to post! I'm a LARPer, so I have a /lot/. Many of them are unflattering, or in some cases, you wouldn't recognise me at all. Then there are the photos of me in white bodypaint... However, a good one of me that shows my face would be: http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt24/Jinerviet/n10...

I'm really glad and lucky that my current partner and I are both the sharing type. He's not bi, but I'm realising that I may well be, and my female flatmate is quite hot, so who knows what the future may hold...

A neat idea from the last LARP one-off game I was in- everyone has a number, this goes on their name badge (that is, no name on the badge). This is good because you can identify other characters you should know, and if a character has pseudonyms he/she is known by in different circles that's fine. A...

Sorry, Sigma999: "It's true that many amazing discoveries have been made in Google Earth - a pristine forest in Mozambique that is home to previously unknown species, a fringing coral reef off the coast of Australia, and the remains of an Ancient Roman villa, to name just a few. "In this c...
