I want to say something about army composition with mammoths: Mammoths are an auxiliary force only after initial expansion. If you try and make an army out of them, it will end painfully. Three reasons: 1) Tramplers cannot hold a line, this means that one mammoth with often face attacks from 2 or 3...

So I feel really dumb. I only just realised that mages can use gems to cast higher-level spells than they could normally manage.

Suddenly, lightning-spam looks a lot easier to generate.

EDIT: New turn. Oh, fuck. Congratulations to Rabelais for skillful maneuvering.

The thing that made me laugh was that he had immunity to lightening, which made me think that some mages were supposed to back him up with lightening spam, but no one else showed up. So the only element that he wasn't immune to was fire. Banishment did literally 0 damage. Half his health went away ...

Hmm . There goes a pile of gems. Dude, that was a bad idea...not fire immune undead prophet attacks a province with -8 dom and held by LA Abby. I may just win the award for Dumbest Move of the Game. That was truly dire. Though in the end, it wasn't the fire immunity that killed him - it was banishm...

More than 50 mammoths? Really? I'm honored and all, but isn't that a bit excessive for a going-away party? And where the heck did you find lobo guards? I thought R'lyeh was done for. Akula's correct about the lobo guards. The Lost Legion are pretty uninspiring mercenaries, but they're better than m...

Two possibilities. Either it's just more Left Behind-style Rapture conspiracy crazy, or he read this interview, where a prominent Evangelical pastor declares that defiance of authority is anti-Christian - even when the authority is Qaddafi.

The genetic variation between human beings due to race is so small and so inconsequential that you can reject things like The Bell Curve with a high school biology class without even reading what's in the books. Rofl, as if The Bell Curve is racist. No, it just sourced it's material from racist Eug...

Polaris is...interesting. It's more of a structure for co-operative storytelling than it is a roleplaying game, and it's about as focused as its possible for an rpg to be. I'm not surprised that it's author has no fucking clue about how to balance more robust systems.

People give all kinds of shit about Tibetans. It's like they get funding from India's Research ad Analysis Wing and the American CIA for use in public relations. Nah, no one gives a shit about Mongolians, Uighurs, Miao, Hui, Dong, or Tujia. Those people get oppressed and no one holds a rock concert...

Sorry, I thought your metaphor was relevant. You acknowledge what you said was irrelevant? You really don't like to give up your logical fallacies, do you? As a matter of basic etiquette, you should probably develop your points a bit more. People here will throw one-liners at you and mock you for a...

I have a general question -

Do research boosters and gemgen items show up on the score charts? If a player hits Con4 and builds a bunch of Skull Mentors (or Con6 and a bunch of clams), will their research/gem income line skyrocket?

This isn't about multiculturalism. No seriously, look at the thread of the conversation. Some people said "this stuff is bad." PL jumped in to call those people who said so monoculturalists, and also racists. I am pointing out that we have talked about specific things that we don't like, ...

"Multiculturalism" in the European context is the notion of a culture comming into another culture without even attempting to blend in with the society they are moving into. No. It isn't. That's just an ignorant racist lie on your part. I mean, I'd refute it more thoroughly except that yo...
