Assuming that you did design your classes properly, though, and you did streamline the process then what's the temptation for people to pick up your new classes? That's a hell of an assumption. There's always screwups. As far as flavour goes, you should be able to use a rogue class (or whatever) in...

Do people complain about synthetic (recycled, extracted) iron vs natural iron? We ran out decades ago. Or mercury mined gold vs crystalline? Synthetic diamonds are not fake. However, there is a very large and concerted effort to make sure they're called that. Anyhow, give five more years and there ...

I can kind of see how trying to invalidate others peoples ownership of the company and all that entails might be helpful in his immediate situation, but how could claiming that he sold tons of fraudulent stock before a court of law possibly be a good idea in the long run? Al this anti-multiclassing stuff puzzles me. I mean, one of the first things one of my friends said when 3.0e came out was along the lines of "So ... I can multiclass rogue and sorcerer then backstab with a ray of frost? Cool! " Multiclassing for flavour or for cheese (or both) was a selli...

Unless this is changed, Willpower helps reduce the effects of manabolts, but there's a fair few magic effects which target other abilities. Intuition vs. illusions especially. Reaction may help you shoot the mage in the face before she fries you with said manabolt. Willpower 5 instead of 2 means you...

None of this is going to matter unless, of course, your feeble attempt to try and ruin CGL's chances of getting the license renewed succeeds. [/color] This thread isn't an attempt to replace SR4. It's a look at what a replacement for SR4 might look like, which might (p<0.01 IMO, but we can hope) in...

Spider Eyes. Hmm. With low-light vision and/or a spot check bonus it might make the bar as a least invocation. I think you're basing it off a spell which creates fly-sized (spider-sized?) flying invisible scouts, which is a different story entirely from great big ugly eyes growing out of your own he...

Web line (Eldritch Essence, 1st), The Warlock's modified Eldritch Blast creates a thin line of spider silk, out to it's maximum range. The line is physical, and lasts about an hour. It is capable of bearing the warlock and an additional 25 lbs/caster level (the warlock is effectively weightless for...

Kaelik, the point being made is that a dice pool system where you count hits is mathematically identical to throwing a bunch of weighted d2s (marked with 0 and 1) and adding the results.

Yes, the half-as-much-as-the-sides rule of thumb doesn't work with this model. Got that. In fact, I said that.

In SR and in WoD I've seen fairly substantial variation in results with pools of 10-12 dice. The change of getting zero hits is very low, but so long as it matters whether you get one hit or four it's a good randomiser. Franks' rule of thumb clearly breaks down when you model SRs or WoDs dice as wei...

Eh, some people would want gold in the hopes that a nice economy would come back some time soon and others would still want their bling. Betting on the economy collapsing soon and simultaneously being able to keep and use your hoarded gold is kind of like betting on the rapture though.

A solo guy sneaking around and fighting multiple enemies will get a lot of mileage out of grenades even without the throwing skill. Just drop one with a delay and slip away quickly.

It doesn't even have to be lethal, pepper punch gas grenades are useful in this situation.
