Edit: Ya know what? No. I'm being a dick. I have my beliefs and I simply need to not be sensitive about them because that's only gonna lead to a world of hurt and disappointment.

Leonardo Da Vinci once postulated that if the soul exist, it exists in the brain. That is, our soul is merely mind as it were, is the mind, the electrons running through our brain cells. I like to think their is more to it than that, I hope their is. Mostly, I hope their is an afterwards, an afterli...

Oh really? That's quite a definitive claim. I still believe in souls, so if you don't mind, enlighten me.

So what is the difference between a DM saying 'Oh, everything exists in my setting' to 'Well, just this very long list of things exists in my setting' to even 'Everything exists in this world but the immediate area you'll be interacting with just has all this'?

[NPC] Berserker

Berserker [NPC] "WAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGH!!!!!" Barbarian hordes are a classical foe of DnD. They differ from Warrior in that a Warrior NPC, in a round-a-bout way, implies a trained and civilized militia whereas barbarian horde are kinda... not. Except they can't all have actual levels in Barbar...

Baldraxe bowed and did as bidden. He took a seat at the bar and ordered anything fruity.

In the Whispered Word, a medium humanoid, bedecked from head to toe in full leather plate armor and a demon-esque mask, approached Bakir and Ulanth.

"Are either of you the enforcers of the Voices of the Mortuary district?" It asked, "I am Baldraxe."

Of course, I find otherkin odd but harmless, but I am not one of the billions of American who are mugged, molested and murdered by otherkin every year. Every five seconds, a hate crime is being perpetuated by otherkin against those of us not born with a non-homosapien soul.

Of course, this is all flavor and anyone can use any flavor they want. I make orcs herbivores that generally act like they are descendant of prey and that's okay.

Were you irritated by Swedes who insisted on being bisexual identical twins with big boobs? I don't think that's a stereotype but if it was, it would have definitley made be realize how retarded I was alot sooner. Popular opinion almost opposes homosexuals serving openly in the military, in favor o...

Well, the thing is, I used to be one of those people. I later realized it was retarded attitude but I seriously got irritated at nerdy asian people, black people being good at basketball and gay guys being flamboyants.

Then I stopped and went, "Wut."

For all that it comes up before the NPC is paste, you're better off just deciding on a good bonus and a poor bonus and deciding which one that NPC uses when it comes up. Unless we're talking about NPCs that don't get murdered in five rounds. Kinda what I was saying. Just a quick bonus to skill chec...

NPC Skills

I was looking at the NPC classes and I noticed that have Class Skills and Skill Points and I went 'WTF'. You went out of your way to make it so we didn't have to apply feats to the NPCs to save time but you give them skills? Giving out skills is tedious for PCs, let alone the faceless hordes . No, I...

Another 2-cents I'd like to throw out:

People dislike stereotypes, or at least like to pretend they do. So when a gay man acts 'flaming,' it offends some people because it seems like he's encouraging stereotypes.

I'm trying to run a Tome game with those unfamiliar with Tome. I give them the whole Tome PDF but what should I specifically point out for them to see? I remember someone linked me a full downloadable collection of the Tome. Tome 0.7rev95, IIRC. I know we got a link up on the top but it's nowhere near as complete as what I got now. Does anyone have that link again, I wanna pass it around to try to run a game.

Edit: Nevermind, found it.
