I've never understood why the more conservative Christians I've met haven't kept kosher. One explained it to me as Jesus rewriting the rules, so some are no longer applicable. But he never explained how he choose what was applicable. It's not like Jesus said 'Blessed are the weak, BTW this ham sand...

I'm on rpol a lot, though I don't actually play in many games, as my game of choice is 3.5 and a lot of DMs went over to 4e. Not to mention that I'm pretty picky. Rpol can be pretty hit-or-miss with DMs. Some are really good and savvy about the rules, but some... I've actually seen some with the CW ...

All of our racial taboos against cannibalism are there for a bunch of reasons, the fact that human meat is also super omnomnomnom is one of them. I highly doubt the taste has anything to do with it. In animals, it's much more likely that it has to do with humans sliding from the predator end of the...

Sorry, I've got major essays and midterms assaulting me all at once (damn you, procrastination!), so I'm a bit distracted. Hopefully I'll get a character written up in the next day or two.

Create Ice Object: The part where you can create 5 49lb objects as a standard action for no goddam reason is all kinds of stupid, and subject to epic amounts of bullshit, where you are better than any wizard ever at everything. Not to mention the BS of automatic no save 125lb encumbrance on people. ...

I'd like to play a Snowscaper ( http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=50012 ), but the class isn't what I would consider "finished," as some of the abilities don't really do anything game-wise. Given the battlefield-shaping nature of the class, I'd suggest modifying the following abilities:...

Anyone up for a Tome Red Hand Run on the Gaming Den? Tome classes subbing for shitty NPCs too. Probably use some of the upgrade options, like Black to Juvenile, ect. Say yea? Abso-frikkin-lutely. I've yet to play Tome; the last game I tried to get a Tome class into (Hicks' Dread Necro), the DM look...

 The mean you mean. A d20 is a linear curve, so the average roll is each of those number that come up on average with the same frequency. The mean of the range provided by a d20 is 10.5. What the hell is this? Mean and average are the same thing. "The mean is the most commonly-used t...

What the hell does Rebuke Undead do, exactly?

I was statting up a Dread Necromancer (using Hicks' variant from this site) for shits and giggles when I realized I had no idea how v3.5 Rebuke Undead works. I know how 2e worked, and I assumed it would be pretty much the same. So I look it up in the SRD and I'm either pretty much right, or complete...
