One of my neighbors just had animal control out to deal with an angry swarm of bees that apparently set up residence in his garage wall. I didn't even know you could call animal control for that. Better yet, some bee-keepers are apparently willing to remove them free of charge (I guess they keep th...

Batman and Robin was released at totally the wrong time. If it was released before Batman (1989) and the campy elements turned up a bit it probably would've been a runaway hit. But Joel Schumaucher released it right when fascination with Darker and Edgier and the Iron Age was at its height and it w...

I've had bees squatting my attic every summer for 3 years straight now, what a fucking nightmare. Apparently, once they're inside the house, they're almost impossible to get rid of again. The only upside is the little fucks at least stay in the attic. My burning hatred is consuming me; I need a beer.

And a main character role in Echs vs. Sever. Speaking parts even. Oh, wait, that movie was tripe and his "acting" didn't help. Ack, Ecs vs Sever. I had forgotten about that one. No amount of fancy martial-arts is going to save your Cool when you're taunting people in a silly british accen...

Ray Park did not, to my knowledge, have an acting career before Episode I; he was a stuntman. Now, I haven't seen him in any role where he had to deliver dialogue, so I can't say if he's any good or no; but The Phantom Menace is why people know his name. Well, he has a few lines in X-Men. I won't b...

I wouldn't blame you for forgetting about it, what with the editor being drunk at the wheel and all.

Just confused. Andy Collins and Ed Stark teamed up to do the form shifting changes from 3e to 3.5. Very approximately, they were: Form Changing granted Supernatural Abilities where before it did not. Form changing changed your type , while before you kept your own type. So Wildshape + Animal Growth...

On the other I'm not sure if Paizo ever intended their campaign to be an actual playtest, as opposed to stealth advertizing, meant to lure people in. Well, it certainly wasn't a playtest, that's for certain. Considering how they went back on their word and didn't include many of the changes in the ...

If you successfully save against a spell, you are still aware of it; even if the spell's effect was not obvious, or if you did not see it being cast. Likewise, you always know whether the target of your spell succeeded on his saving throw. Unless it was a multi-target spell, in which case -you don't.

Any particular reason why you're asking?

I could see why you would be sceptical, given the obvious faith-healing tie-ins -and it's not like the Harold Koenig crowd isn't all over this.

Yeah, the benefit of low expectations is that every now and then, you're pleasantly surprised. Of course, the draw back is you tend not to have much respect for the thing for which your expectations are set so low. Ooh yeah, my respect has been waning steadily for quite a while now. Although the la...

You know, maybe I would enjoy it more if I just stop reading it for a month or two at a time. A month or two ago I let it slip for a few weeks, and miraculously, Rich updated the comic two or three times during that period. I got this warm giddy feeling when I realized I had several comics to read....

A balor stands about 12 feet tall. Its skin is usually dark red. It weighs about 4,500 pounds. A pit fiend is 12 feet tall and weighs 800 pounds. I imagine that this is what you get when authors just pull monster descriptions out of their asses. But still, it could have been worse; it could have be...

Wait, doesn't that lead to retarded results for staffs, which are two-handed weapons? Staves are only 2H weaopns when you hit folks on the head with them. A magic staff is not a weapon. It's a magic staff; it's different than a quarterstaff (although some magic staffs can be USED as quarterstaves)....
