My more-interesting moral quandary has been, what if my next door neighbor is getting killed by the police?

I mean obviously, best for me personally is go hide in a closet or something. But at some point, I have to have an obligation to act, right?

I haven't found a satisfactory answer.

It's by contract with your payment processor. Some places have made that clause illegal/non-binding. In the US, you can add surcharges because of How a class-action lawsuit settled (http://usa.visa.com/download/merchants/ ... chants.pdf), which is a recent development.

Wick tells good stories. I would not actually want to play at his table based on the steamingly terrible advice he has written.

Gilgamesh Wulfenbach may not be the best touchstone for what the average spark can do. Not only has he had crazy training and escapades his entire life, he's also implied to be one of the Baron's creations several times.

Home brewing is great. Home distillation is actually kind of dangerous, and will give you a foul-tasting result. Also, it's illegal in many places (no idea if Australia is one of those places), and the equipment to do it is expensive. Can't you just order off the interwub? https://www.danmurphys.com...

I'm not familiar with Mutants and Masterminds. Is there a reason it's worse than selecting a system at random?

Neutral ground.

You need some places where you can go and talk to the bad guys, and the kinda-bad guys, but not do anything to them (and they can't do anything to you). Like Papa Midnight's.

Good question. Since it's thought experiment anyway, I see 3 tiers (roughly):
- mundanes/minions
- monsters/minor sparks
- major sparks

a solid fit for any would be interesting.

What system would you use for Girl Genius?

What it says on the tin.

No practical application; I'm just curious how different folks here would make it work.

I once owned a copy of GURPS: Werewolf. I wasn't familiar with the WW game at the time, but the sheer number of character creation points it recommended was staggering (high 600s, if I remember right, but it's been a long time).

In any case, while Venus is an orange sailor scout, orange is probably the least used sentai team color. Even things that aren't actually colors like black and white are used more. -Username17[/img] But if you use all six colors, you have a very clear set of adjacencies and oppositions. That lets y...

Someone has an interesting take on a new Pathfinder setting: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1993399349/sigantium-academy-of-the-arcane-re-launch?ref=category It's caster-only, final destination. One of the impossible problems has always been martial-caster imbalance, this seems like it actuall...

@Frank Do you count page space? All this stuff has to fit into a book, and one book has to fit enough of it to be a complete, plausible ecosystem. Yeah, there might be splats, but the core book pretty much needs to be playable as-is. You might be able to get the most bang for your magical works buck...

I suggest looking at FantasyCraft and Exalted. I do not suggest directly lifting from either one. FantasyCraft is a d20 base. I've described it before as 3.5 for people who thought there wasn't enough bookkeeping, and that's pretty accurate. Some of that bookkeeping is an actual reputation and statu...

It really depends what you're selling and what the commission is. Also, be wary of anything that wants you to buy your sales kit. It's not a dealbreaker, just a sign that you need to look closely at it. Personally, I would avoid makeup, dietary supplements and jewelry, but that's me. Big money is in...
