"Ah crap. I want nothing to do with that thing..." Vian said through gritted teeth as he hobbles over to the boats. For now he decides to guard the vessels until the group decide what to do with the find.

Certainly but aggro is also not a very subtle strategy. If you have lethal damage on board it is usually pretty hard to hide, which means that your opponents will know to target you and will start digging for cards that hurt you the most. Besides, as games go longer, turns tend to become more impact...

Huh, I actually really like that. Problem is it can break down into kingmaking in some circumstances. Also, Rob not to knock you down or anything but the only thing similar with your rules and mine is that the lifetotals are lower. Otherwise your ruleset does nothing I want done. Another issue to be...

You are not wrong. Even if I were to drop life-totals all the way to 20, it would not make aggro decks viable since you would still need to deal 60 points of damage to win the game. And if you opponents are just building up their boards then, well... one of them is going to crush you. That is not to...

I assume nobody has DD then other than Clara? Man, I should have really went with the Marquis on this one. Can't be helped now. Besides, I wanted to play Vian for ages so there is that. Now as for what to actually do with the box, I say we ignore it. We are not pressed to solve every mystery and we ...

Vian is also going to stand at maximum possible distance from the box... way in the back lines if possible.

Vian gritted his teeth and shook his head, rising to his feet as he prepared himself for battle once more even after the brutal beating he just received.

That is a valid point, I will think on it. Still I would rather have a solution other than banning.

Vian sits down by one of the boats, letting his companions examine the box. He himself already had enough excitement for the day.

"Anyone here have any more healing?" He asks, clutching onto his chest which still hurt like hell.

There are a few reasons for this. Rule 3 is in place because EDH is a format that is addicted to fast mana. Artifact mana is especially explosive and I wanted to tone things down without actually having to resort to banning cards (sol ring, mana crypt, etc.). The fact that it helps balance things li...

It's an MTG thing.

To keep a long story short I've gotten into EDH. I am pretty good at it with a decent understanding of how games play out. Which means that I also realize that the format has plenty of problems so I decided to make my own variant on the ruleset. But honestly that is not really the reason why I came ...

Vian gets to his feet slowly, gritting his teeth as he stumbles back up. Raising one hand he wipes the blood from his chin and takes a moment to asses the situation. "Ugh... T-thanks. This is what I get for all the wood I burned over the years..." He said, slowly coming back to his senses....

If a player is not posting you should feel free to automate them. You did ask for a battle script.

I am fairly certain these things are mindless abominations of sorts. In any case, just to be sure, there are three of these things? Do they all seem like they belong to the same type of monster?

Vian was far less inclined to do diplomacy with the ancient oaks. Drawing his blade a red flash moved across it, igniting the metal and making it blaze like a torch in his hands. "Stop right there! Make another step and I will turn you into ash!" He shouted, but he did so in the tongue of ...

"You know, used to be I'd just burn down things that bothered me. Bad idea... led to plenty of forest fires." Vian shook his head as he hopped off the boat, feeling dry land under his feet after many months of sea travel. Even though this land was strange and unfamiliar, it was still solid...
