Trying to remember the name of a game with Space Marines...

Post by Zinegata »

No, I'm not referring to 40K

I recall this game being discussed in the Den but don't remember its name.

Basically, it's an RPG game where you play a bunch of Space Marines hunting down various aliens from world to world.

Enemies vary wildly from aliens with guns to killer sharks.

Combat is very simple... although I recall mention of how weapons range (short vs long) is important.

Thanks in advance to any who can enlighten me as to the game's name.

... I don't think so. The theme is much more space-marine oriented.

I guess it isn't Space Hulk.

Not Space Hulk, no. I'm checking the others. I think it may be Carnage Beyond the Stars but the link to its site is evading my best efforts at googling.

If I recall correctly this game has a PDF downloadable version.

Edit: Found it. Angel gets the cookie. Thanks!

Yeah, 3:16 is a pretty cool game. I ran a session once, on sup/tg/. It worked out pretty well.

This should be, 3:16 Carnage Amongst the Stars.

The game demands a lot from it's players, but if your players can provide it's good-to-go.

...

EDIT:

"Disposable Heroes", a short-n-sweet supplement for 3:16CAtS by it's author, published (freely) in the Collective Endeavour Journal.

A few new interesting and fun things in it... mostly, the sub-missions it randomizes (assault, infiltrate, etc).

Also, "So Few", from See Page XX (April 2009). It's 3:16CAtS from the perspective of space pilots.
