I could make something out of that...

Polymorph someone to a giant frog, or a free Wish/Reality Revision-level thing to undo or cause an event.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

The unlimited frog drop ability is pretty much 'Giant Frog the game'. I should probably stick that back in; I was working on the revised higher level abilities for this class and then just kinda forgot about it.

Giant Frog: Starting at 3rd level, you can use the following spell like abilities: hold person, passwall, and telekinesis at will, and chaos hammer and giant frog once per day.

Giant Frog: At 4th level, with the power of Giant Frog, you can Giant Frog. Your skin is green, your charisma increases by 2, and you gain the following spell-like abilities: chaos hammer, detect magic, detect thoughts, fear, giant frog, protection from law, see the invisible, and shatter at will, and dispel law, deeper darkness, and fireball thrice per day.
This stuff is really interesting. . .
It really emulates that the power of "giant frog" = Do anything relavant which is fucking awesome as explained by the tome. I was thinking something like "passwall, shatter and telekinesis, but you actually made this class real, if someone wanted to play it -minus all the funny.
Oh and it is Roflstomping me into the ground btw. LOl

Dear Midnight, you have actually made me sad. I took a day off of posting yesterday because of actual sadness you made me feel in my heart for you.

Glad you bumped this.. I didn't know about the thread.

Catharz, you beat me to it, but I'll go and make a Slaad class anyway, to round off the series I've been doing with outsiders-as-classes.

I get the sense that there is some sort of pop culture reference being used here other than slaad = chaos beast = giant frog = slaad. I wish I was in on the joke.

I hate in-jokes too, especially when neckbeards cackle about obscure scifi flicks and 40k for hours, but sneer at you if you ask what got their beard shaking so hard. That's why I'll show you this;

Tome of Fiends wrote:Ethics Option 2: A Question of Sanity.

Some DMs will want Law and Chaos to mean essentially "Sane" and "Insane". That's fine, but it doesn't mean that Chaos is funny. In fact, insanity is generally about the least funny thing you could possibly imagine. An insane person reacts inappropriately to their surroundings. That doesn't mean that they perform unexpected actions, that's just surrealist. And Paladins are totally permitted to enjoy non sequitur based humor and art. See, insanity is when you perform the same action over and over again and expect different results.

In this model we get a coherent explanation for why, when all the forces of Evil are composed of a multitude of strange nightmarish creatures, and the forces of Good have everything from a glowing patch of light to a winged snake tailed woman, every single soldier in the army of Chaos is a giant frog. This is because in this model Limbo is a place that is totally insane. It's a place where the answer to every question really is "Giant Frog". Creatures of Chaos then proceed to go to non Chaotically-aligned planes and are disappointed and confused when doors have to be pushed and pulled to open and entrance cannot be achieved by "Giant Frog".

If Chaos is madness, it's not "spontaneous", it's "non-functional". Actual adaptability is sane. Adapting responses to stimuli is what people are supposed to do. For reactions to be sufficiently inappropriate to qualify as insanity, one has to go pretty far into one's own preconceptions. Actual mental illness is very sad and traumatic just to watch as an outside observer. Actually living that way is even worse. It is strongly suggested therefore, that you don't go this route at all. It's not that you can't make D&D work with sanity and insanity as the core difference between Law and Chaos, it's that in doing so you're essentially making the Law vs. Chaos choice into the choice between good and bad. That and there is a certain segment of the roleplaying community that cannot differentiate absurdist humor from insanity and will insist on doing annoying things in the name of humor. And we hate those people.
Essentially it's a LOLRANDUM joke on D&D cosmology. Nothing more.

Thank you very much for the explanation! I haven't had a desire to use fiends 'n junk for anything, so it's been a while since I revisited the Tome of Fiends. Some of whom, apparently, can Giant Frog.

Fuck yeah. I'd Giant Frog in your pants if I could. LOL

I never knew how popular, "Chaos is insanity" was until I read that and remeber how many people thought and played "chaotic neutral" to mean batshit crazy or "asshole". So on some levels that actually ends up working. I really like the tomes because they provide such a better framework for D&D than any resource before them. If you really want to understand how the system works or just want to have a 4 man where one guys doesnt' make the other guys feel ... uhm... inadequate... then yeah, the tomes are for you.

But I think the image of a Giant Frog riding a Giant Frog who makes the Monk... I mean Giant Frog feel that his life is a lie is funny. Especially when the Giant Frog attempts to commit suicide by jumping off a Giant Frog, only to be saved by his Giant Frog ability.

I know someone who claimed CN really was "Pure Chaos, and thus totally insane". I'm not sure if he meant in a lolrandum way or a "psychopath who wakes up one morning and decides to murder the party because why not?"

See, he refused to play or allow CN characters for this reason. Most strange. But sadly yes, there is a certain group of players that love to be LOLRANDUMB, see: the bad kinds of Malkavian Vampire (note: the "good" kind is generally creepy or depressing, so if the whole clan wants to go die in a fire, I would be okay with that), the Crazy OCC in Rifts.
