It's not that big of a deal, it just bothered me that he couldn't pay $10 to save me $57. That's just being an ass, and he definitely had ten dollars he could have put in the tank. He's kind of stupid though, so he may have just not realized what the gas level was or been smart enough to check the paper to be sure.

For more of the story:

I tried to pick up the money right after Christmas while on my way home, having asked when he'd be home. I was told noon, so I went over at noon. Nobody was home, and he said he was visiting his sister. This may be his girlfriend's fault, as she gave me a false address (too bad I have the U-haul contract, you stupid bitch) and was the face of the lies. He had to of known about this though, they only have the one fucking phone. They clearly does not intend to pay me back, so I think operation sell shit is the way to go.

If he wants to charge me doesn't he need a whole bunch of proof? Proof he actually owned a washer and drier (he does not keep receipts, and he likely did not buy them from a retailer), a search warrant to prove they aren't at my place, and then proof that I sold them rather than them being stolen (they're stored in an area that people from 2 other apartments have access to). Keep in mind this man is far too poor to afford a lawyer or even the place he's currently staying.

Would calling his landlord to put pressure on him be a reasonable solution, or is that taking it too far? I can get the number in a few minutes, but I really don't feel like expending too much effort. That's why I think putting the washer and drier up for 60 bucks on Craigslist would be an easier solution.

Oh, it'd be your word against his, and he'd most likely lose in court...but the hassle of going to civil court, plus the risk of dealing with criminal court?

I'd keep his stuff for 30 days, bare minimum, assuming you can't find any local laws clearly explaining what you need to do.

It's funny. For someone who has migraines that last about 2/3 of his waking day, I've grown to withstand them. But, headaches? No, it just becomes too much. I've been nursing a sinus headache, fever, and sinusitis for the last week or so. So, the headache+migraine combination is becoming close to unbearable. I hate corticosteroids but I wonder if I should go to the doc to get a shot. Ugh.

If you got the freeloader out, I'd just eat the $57. Don't sell his stuff or force any other drama into your life because the drama he can return to your life is not worth $57.

Seriously. You got him out of your house without having to call the police or get into a physical altercation and without him robbing you blind or tossing a brick through your car window.

So, I still have no car, and no insurance. I'm looking at quotes for insuarance, but it's not a sure thing.

I need to get out more, which is really difficult when one has no personal transportation. I know I've mentioned a vampire larp with a pretty girl playing whom I'm interested in, but the problem is that, while I could catch a bus out to it, I have no way home when it ends around midnight. No buses run, parents go to bed long before that, no friends interested in the larp, the woman in question is also carless. Taxi is too damned much, even one way.

Is there anything I'm overlooking? I live in Sacramento, and the game is 8-midnight, Fridays. There are other games Saturday and Sunday evenings, which she also goes to that I'd like to play. So if anyone has any ideas, please, tell me, I'm at a loss.

You own a bicycle? As I recall, it's a pretty flat town even if the townies are awful to bike-riders in general.

Also, you might find someone in the larp who lives in your neighborhood and carpool with them. You will need to pony up gas money as the rule of "gas, ass, or grass" still applies in the 21st century for transactions of this sort with near-strangers.

If I were actually in city, maybe it's fairly flat, but I don't have a bike (I suppose I could use my dad's...), and it's not really flat, or bike friendly. I'm talking the Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Carmicheal suburbs.

I'm trying to get a ride arranged with someone in group, but no one's stepped forward yet. So now I'm looking at new employment and car insurance which I need anyway. Sadly, my job situation needs to improve and stay steady before I can really even get insured.

I'm considering taking up drinking again. Despite Kaelik's assertion to the contrary, I haven't really drank hard for about 5 years or so. I have been evaluating my life, and I think if I had drank, played video games, and did drugs for the past 5 years, my life wouldn't technically be any worse. I am starting to wonder why I put in so much effort to improve my life when I'm just not talented enough to get either money or women.

So really, fuck it. No matter how hard I work, all the money is controlled like people just like Tzor who think I somehow owe them something for my very existence and should work hard out of the kindness of my heart rather than to improve my station in life. And I'm too much of a "sweet guy" for women to fuck whatever the fuck that means (I theorize that it's not actually a word, it's a noise that a woman's mouth makes when confronted with an inferior male).

Also, I am tired of my friends lecturing me about how lazy I am. So fuck it, if working two jobs and going to class full time is lazy to them, then I sure as fuck don't have a chance at anything because clearly the world expects more. Also, drinking heavily will result in an earlier death, and I sure as hell don't want to spend one second living if I don't have to.

Drinking and playing video games has worked fantastically for me, particularly if you do them at the same time and with good friends. If you have a wii/gamecube/N64/SNES I'd suggest beerio kart (drink a beer each race, you can only drink while you aren't moving). The problem is if you quit life you don't have a chance of seeing it improve, and when it improves it's fucking worth it.

Is Tzor rich or something? His posts don't strike me as rich, but maybe that's because I have no idea what a rich person's posts should sound like in my head. I'm going to start reading each one in a southern gentleman accent and see if that helps.

Stop worrying about sex though. The less you worry the more you'll get it, and there are plenty of other things in life that are just as, if not more, enjoyable.

From what I've gleaned, Tzor lives in a fairly nice house on Long Island, lived with his parents for most of his life (not that I'm one to talk. Basically, I have a job. I help pay the bills. Being independent would require a bigger job that isn't there), and from the pictures he posts sometimes, his folks are around upper middle-class, which, this being in New York, means they have enough money to be damned rich anywhere else in the country (excepting California).

However, Tzor is a self-described Republican and periodically does these smug little posts saying, explicitly or implicitly, that conservatives hold the world together and make everything work, unlike the dirty filthy idiot liberals.

Count, someone who has lived in poverty for his whole life and struggled to work his way up for the past few years, quite understandably takes offense at this assertion of superiority from someone who has never had to choose between being cold and starving (or similar) because of circumstances beyond his control.

Contrary to the popular opinion, I don't controll any money. I barely controll my own money. I think you should first and foremost work to improve your station in life.

You're working two jobs and going to class ... it's your friends who are lazy.

As for sex ... well you have had more than I had. I can't really tell you what women want. But I don't think you need another full time job on your schedule.

As for booze ... don't drink heavily ... it's a waste of booze. Just drink.

Pseudo: I'd hardly call myself "rich." But I am well into the upper middle class. then again, I've been a "contractor" for over 6 years, I've been working for a company that loves to reduce staff, so I don't know how long this current ride will last.

Here are the actual numbers. I'm currently 50. Not counting the 18 years that I first lived before college, I returned home after college becuse the rental scene in the 80's on Long Island sucked. After less than 10 years, I moved to Poughkeepsie and then to Key West for around ten years. Then I moved back to Long Island. Home was supposed to be a temporary thing but so far I have had no real reason to move.

My father originally worked at an ice plant that his father managed and then in cooling systems for one of the systems of Brookhaven National Laboratory. He was Middle Class. My mother had given up a damn good job in the city to move to the end of nowhere (East Hampton) to marry my father, and worked in the library of Suffolk Community College before she retired.

Living with your parents at 50 though, you must have a ton of money saved up. I submit you are rich by today's standards (not in debt, have money saved, own good property and drink microbrews).

Which brings up, Count, what about any relatives you could live with while you save money? There has to be some relief somewhere for you.

Actually in Lan guil ender speak you drop the o so it's more like la-bra-tor-ey. Four syllabyles are enough for the word, five is right out.

I should point out that I was somewhat underpaid for the cost of living in my Key West years. It took a while to cover that debt and to cover for the lack of real investment in retirement money. Most of my money is therefore locked up in retirement accounts.

Long Island has a ton of microbrews, practically every town has their own one these days. Let's see, there are two in Patchogue, one in Southampton, one moved to Riverhead, one opened up in Port Jefferson, I am pretty sure there is one in Greenport. I have a friend who used to be co-liaeson with me for National Novel Writing Month and I think he is still into nanobrewing.

Did I mention we also have a meadery?

And vineyards, I can't forget the vineyards.

And potatoes, so we now have a place that makes potato vodka.

Count, I try to have sympathy, but I've read too many of your "fuck it I give up" posts to have much reaction at this point. Do what makes you happy.

I'm going to reiterate that whatever you decide to do, you should stop bitching just because you can't get any women to fuck you. This is not a tragedy anyone is going to lose any sleep over, and shit, neither should you. Go buy some porn and quit whining.

Having to work 2 jobs and still be poor, not having medical care, your weight issues, and numerous of your other personal problems are things I genuinely feel bad about, and hope that you can find solutions to, and I'm not going to criticize you for complaining about. Your weird hangup with women is entirely different, and your griping about it makes you sound like an asshole.

(that said...since you seem to think you're stuck in 'nice guy hell' or whatever...have you tried not being a nice guy and just bluntly asking women why they don't want to fuck you? As in seriously saying, "okay, I get that you don't want to fuck me, and I guess I'm cool with that. Would you mind telling me why?" Maybe you're just looking at the situation all wrong, and some firsthand feedback would help. Thought I'd throw it out there.)

Here's my question. Why the fuck do we care if Tzor's a cultured southern man or a coddled child or a down to earth dude. I disagree with him on pretty much most of what he says. But his finances? Why?

Also, I still don't understand the stigma of living with your parents and have them support you in a time of need or whenever. Until about 6 months ago, I (more like, wife, child and me) had lived with my 'rents for 3 years.

If my finances get worse, I might have to do the same. If they need help, I'd probably move into their house to help out because compared to their house, live in a cardboard box.

I'm not complaining that women won't fuck me. I'm complaining that women act like I'm a fucking leper and won't even speak to me. Never mind, this time I was in fact complaining about that. Oops.

Even when I get a girl to say yes to a date, she inevitably stands me up. Out of the last 5 women I've asked out who said yes, only 1 bothered to show up. I'm not expecting women to fuck me, but I do expect anyone (man or woman) to not say they'll do something then flake out later. It's only good manners to show up when you say you are going to. And I don't see why. Fuck, I don't understand why they can't just tell me no.

But yeah, I will seriously flip out if another woman calls me a "sweet guy". Like punch her in her goddamn mouth. See how sweet she thinks I am when she's missing teeth. And no, I'm not going to be nice to women anymore for no reason. Not because I want to date them, for my own temper.

Edit part 2: Revising my plan now that I've slept and am no longer having a panic attack. No booze, and legal drugs. I got my insurance card in the mail today, I will get treated for my depression, panic disorder, and hypersexual disorder. And I will stop speaking to my former richest friend since him calling me lazy was what triggered the attack.

Count, everything you said sounds relatively sane, except the part about punching women in the mouth. Punching people in the mouth is reserved for when they attack you (or at least touch you when you don't want them to, which seems to be the opposite of your problem). Punching someone just to make a point is psychotic. There is a long wide space between "being nice to women" and "punching them in the fucking face", and I suggest you inhabit it.
