If anyone wants my contact info and don't have it, send me a PM and I'll get it, but for the most part I'm avoiding online interaction and not doing much with facebook anymore.

Nothing good has ever come of this, no women, no money, no nothing. And the fact that my ex-wife has verified that yes, she IS fucking stalking me online via e-mail is more than I can take. When is she going to stop trying to punish me? I admit I'm not an angel and truth me told I did my share of fucked up shit during our time, but I DID permanently fuck myself over financially so her resume wouldn't be tainted with retail work, why can't she just leave me alone?
I'm not sure how frequenting places still that I have frequented for a decade constitutes stalking-especially when you knew about it the entire time and have just been trying to goad me into a fight for years. I have been coming to TGD for the conversations and the people that I know/knew, which has nothing to do with an Ex. I'm more interested in what Zherog, Maj, fbmf, and people that I haven't conversed with before, like RobbyPants, have to say. I am glad that I got my password figured out so I can post again.

I haven't posted here in years, mostly because I lost my login stuff, and because I didn't want to fight. As for leaving you alone, I have left you alone for a long time- you are the one still harassing me and verbally abusing me all over the internet 5 years after I left you. Oh, boohoo, I was being nice and gave you a heads-up on what size sheets your bed requires and where you can obtain said sheets for a cheap price: time to leave the internet. If that's how it worked, I should have left the internet years ago because of the crap you were saying to and about me.

For those keeping score at home: No, I did not get mad at him and scream at him for giving someone his insurance information after he hit their parked car. I got mad at him for hitting someone's parked car. Again. He had already hit my parked car in our driveway (then came in the house and screamed at me for hitting his car... when I had been in the house when it happened, fun times).

I also did not disown any mutual friends. I did drop some high school friends off facebook after he friended all my friends to talk shit about me on their pages, if that counts. One specific friend that comes to mind actually stopped talking to me- probably because someone (not me) was dragging him into conversations that he didn't want to have and it was easier to just never talk to me again, after all, I moved 1700 miles away.

Anyway. Don't care enough to type more, there are better topics for discussion.

have you heard of PM? It's this thing where two people can trash talk each other without spewing all over the rest of us. You should look into it.

He prefers it this way, has for years. Figured he could have what he wants for once in his life. I'm done though, I just wanted to make one post. He isn't worth it and there are more interesting things to respond to.

Well that sucked... Speaking of which, we had more than a foot of snow fall here last week. We made it through that just fine, but after it was done snowing, the weight of the ice that coated everything caused the branches on the trees to start falling. We lost power Thursday morning and still don't have it back. On Sunday, Ess' mom said she would spring for a hotel (thank you!!), but the closest place with vacancy is 20 miles south in Centralia.

The hotel is certainly an improvement over a house that's 45 degrees F inside (7.2 degrees C), but the whole situation sucks. As of last night, there still were no crews out doing repairs. I uploaded some pics to my Flickr page so the extended family could see.

Even though it's sucked, the snow has been totally beautiful.
My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

I am judging the philosophies and decisions you have presented in this thread. The ones I have seen look bad, and also appear to be the fruit of a poisonous tree that has produced only madness and will continue to produce only madness.

Take care Count.

I have some juice for the Drama Llama as well.

I apparently upset a coworker unintentionally by engaging in a truthful and appropriate conversation that started by tangentially mentioning her name as she had set the issue in motion. She only heard enough to think that we were bad mouthing her behind her back, even after I explained what we were talking about and that nothing bad or mean-spirited was said. In retaliation she provided management a couple sneakily took photos with her iphone that made it appear that me and the other coworker in the conversation were sleeping, and the reported both of us for sleeping on the job.

We work 12 hour shifts starting at monitors with audible alarms for any serious event and we do occasionally close our eyes for like a minute at a time to keep them from getting burnt out... as does essentially everyone in the job, but I won't send others into the firing squad even if it could save me (I doubt it would help me, but regardless). I believe she got her coworker best-friend to corroborate her allegation but I doubt that the HR prosecutor even cared about that. A bad photo and a lie is enough.

So I'm canned after almost 9 years of exemplary service (I had zero bad marks on my record and almost certainly the most glowing file with service awards and commendations in my area).

Ironically I was doing very well in the lengthy process of interviewing for a promotion, such that I was likely to be moved into within a month (I would likely have been hired on almost immediately after my last interview with then next Monday, but my supervisor couldn't bear to part with me and they were allowed to hold me for 30 days maximum), but now that job is closed to me as well since it was under the same hospital.

In this day and age, it is easy as nothing to take a seemingly incriminating photograph of someone that does not tell the whole story. I've already phoned my HR rep's contact # to state that I plan to contest these charges, but the HR lady in charge of the witch hunt seems implacable on that a photo and a couple liars' testimony is enough confirmation. I reckon I'm going to be getting a lawyer to seek their opinion as well.

*sigh* And I was so close to escaping the reach of this sociopath coworker.
I was trying to get out of there anyway and wouldn't even care except that I have been screwed out of the new job I was bound for. I figure if they actually let her get away with this then they deserve what happens next as she continues to get anyone she wants fired, and proceeds to tear apart the department motivated by her petty ego.

If I wanted to get the girl who got me fired, I could almost certainly easily get her fired too. I don't see how that helps me, and honestly if I should be fired for sure then my manager (having risen to his highest level of incompetence) deserves what is going to happen to his department.

If I and my comrade are getting fired for allegedly sleeping on the job, then there's a lot more lambs for the slaughter... and they have turnover problems already. As a best case scenario, it is going to become a horrible place to work and as a worst case it is entirely possible that the chick who took me down isn't planning on sticking around and she just wants to ruin the department before she leaves. I don't want the department ruined, but I am not going to go through heroics to save it.

I'm not sure if this belongs in, "Lessons Learned," but:

Running down muddy slopes is all fun and games until someone twists a leg.

Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as it could have been:
  • All my classes for today were over
  • There was a picnic table nearby to sit down in while the worst of the pain passed
  • A friend was passing by, so I wasn't alone with the pain
  • I don't have much to do tomorrow either, so even if it isn't gone by then, I won't have to limp all over campus too many times.
Hopefully I remember this important lesson in the future.

On the good news side of things... We're home, warm, and with power and internet (after 6 days without). And we didn't lose power in the storm tonight.

Well, looks like that $200 tablet I bought less than a year ago is giving out. The cord is fucked, it seems, so that's the end of literally all my art. And I was on track (ahead of schedule even) for my plan to upload at least one picture per day this year.

And for some shitty reason you can't sell organs in this country, only donate them - ha, fuck that, you want my kidney, you can fucking buy it for all the discomfort it causes. Yes, I totally would sell a kidney for say, five hundred bucks.

So I decided about the best I can do is set up a Pay Pal and tell everyone on the site I upload to that all future tits are held hostage until they pay up. Given that even the really bad quality commission-artists end up getting paid to do stuff? It could work.

Holy crap that's terrible, Erik. I mean, the evidence is completely against you and the complaint could be technically true, but if everyone has to take micronaps to not die it's insane that somebody would complain about it. I'd suggest asking others at the office, if everyone agrees that shutting your eyes for a minute to not have them melt out of your face is necessary for the job then you can probably just go right to management.

Koumei, do you do art with a pen and paper and have access to a library? You should still be capable of doing art (just without the handyness of not needing to buy supplies) without a tablet. Libraries should have scanners and computers you can use. This is assuming your libraries aren't full of various animals that can kill you (but everywhere in Australia is, right?) Or you can try selling artwork as a fundraiser for a new tablet. People are a lot more willing to donate if they're getting something, even just a desktop image (that you give to everyone who donates $5 or more if you hit the cap you need), in return for it.

I used to do pen and paper, but I got so used to a tablet and the handy Undo feature of computer software (not to mention the ability to mimic an airbrush, or screentones, or so on) that it's just not really feasible any more.

Also, my art is porn. There's no way I'm taking it to a library and scanning there.

No way, if it's hand drawn it totally isn't porn! Was David porn? I guess if you're drawing shit like pikachu fucking Misty while Mewtwo holds her down then yeah, there's no way you're getting that scanned at a library.

We have a saying in the hood. "If it ain't furry you don't need to wurry." ...About scanning it at the library.

Edit: I am aware David is a statue, I'd like to clear up any misconceptions on that.

Getting over a sunburn, but happily so (and I wore sunscreen. It just doesn't do my white ass any good). Yesterday, I helped Dad and my uncle (and some of the other folks) participate in the Senior Bowl tailgating competition (for non-Americans and people who just don't know: The Senior Bowl is a special (American) football game, with both teams comprised of college seniors who are invited to it. For a lot of them, it's their last football game).

We didn't win any of the categories, but the judges were impressed with some of the things we had going. Especially with the jalapeno peppers, for some reason (hollowed out, stuffed with something I don't know what what, and wrapped with piece of bacon, and grilled).

Also rare to get a picture of me and my dad together. And even weirder to get a picture where I look taller than he is (I'm 5'10, he's 6 foot).

He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Good motto.

Anyway, it seems to have some life in it still, and I can borrow my sister's tablet from time to time. So I can produce some art, and yeah, decided to do commissions on aforementioned site. Already have a few customers, so it might just work.

And the gaming convention was fun, but exhausting.

Last Thursday, I took my Mother to the local restaurant. The chef/owner’s daughter works the bar on occasion and does these wine dinners. You never know what you are going to get between her ideas of themes and her father’s cooking. The theme was “Pigs and Pinot” (as in Pinot Noir). There were five courses, all paired with a pinot noir from all over the world (except the home of pinot noir of France). The courses consisted of:
  • Thick cut bacon
  • Pulled Pork with caramelized Brussels sprouts
  • Coddled egg with bacon
  • Pork chop
  • And dessert
Yes even the dessert was pork themed. Under the ice cream was chocolate covered bacon.

Yes everything tastes better with BACON!

It's just strange. First of all the cooked, chocolate covered bacon is COLD (otherwise it would melt the ice cream above it). So you wind up with a salty - bitter sweet (if dark chocolate is used which it was) experience. Then you throw in the ice cream and creme fresh and ... well it works somehow.
