So I've been seeing conservatives go into hysterics mode over the supposedly slashed Medicare benefits to seniors.

Don't you just love it when the Democratic Party leadership takes on conservative politics or ideology, predictably fucks things up (or at least create the appearance of fucking things up), and then get blamed by Republicans for it? I am just staggered by the willful ignorance of this.

Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.

In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.

The latest mediagasm about the election is how "ugly" the campaign is.

Pointing fingers and calling names. Is anybody else getting the impression that Romney/Ryan are doing more negative campaigning by blasting Obama for his negative campaigning that the President is actually doing?

I mean, we know that R&R are lying liars, that just goes without saying. This really does look like an effort to kill the Signal-to-Noise ratio by increasing the noise to deafening levels.

Well in general, overall negativity reduces voter turnout, and reducing turnout is a key component of Republican strategy at least since LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act. So it's not a surprise that the 5 guys what own the media are on board.

But the continued focus on horse-race journalism and ad-spinning masquerading as journalist at the expense of policy reporting is abominable.

"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

I get the impression that Romney is a thin-skinned little bitch who can't handle people saying mean things about him, especially when they are true.

If Obama spent the amount of time Romney does complaining about what people are saying about him, relative to the amount of bullshit that's said about him, he'd have no time to do anything else.

I highly doubt Romney is human enough for thin skin to mean anything to him. He's a corporate tool. You peel the skin away all you'll find is a wrench. It may be a very well crafted wrench, with sharp corners, sturdy design, and a lot of money but still, it's just a tool at the end of the day.

Paul Ryan claims fiscal stimulus doesn't work, but asked for money anyway.
