Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Steins;Gate is a keeper. It gets really good toward the middle and didn't start off bad at all. I enjoy the main character quite a bit.

Watching more of Vividred, it's a keeper for sure. An excellent mix of serious, funny and cute. Episode nine is cute overload.

That said, those references.

And the military has a supply of devastating conventional bombs called NGE bombs locked away. NGE bombs? Nuclear... something... Energy? No, of course not. It's fucking Neon Genesis Evangelion bombs. They're N2 bombs with the serial number replaced by a fucking sticker of what they're referencing! Once I realised, I nearly spat my tea across the room.

The DBZ cross over special looks fucking awesomesauce (as all crossovers are). I really hope they dub it to English.

Also, Girls und Panzer looks like fun.

To which, DBZ or chicks in tanks?

'Cause when it comes to high school females in machines of mass explodyness, plot, character development and art quality are not one's primary concern.

Explodyness is.

Yeah, they do seem a little flat, but they're not all too bad.

If you couldn't see the boob joke coming, I am disappoint.
Also, apparently Vividred is only 12 episodes, and with episode 10, shit just got serious. Given anime doesn't prescribe to the rule of mandatory happy endings, I'm a little worried, really hoping Akane's YOU WILL BE MY FRIEND, CONSENT IS NOT REQUIRED power will save the day and work out. Saving the day isn't even a big deal, the important thing is saving her friendship with Rei.

Best case scenario is Rei ends up as The Black Power Ranger, and we get a second season.

Just reading through that list of Anime was a nice reminder that Japan is a pretty strange place.

Furthermore: Nope, not much explodyness either . .

As for Happy Endings:
Nope, not much of these around either nowadays it seems <.<

Indeed, Senran Kagura looks like it could be a 12-13 episode one. Granted it could probably go the full distance as 24-26, but it seems like it's building to a showdown and conclusion, leaving the possibility of another season later on. Given it's based on a series of video games, they probably want to actually mirror the plot arcs of those.

Yes, apparently the games are full of exploding clothes and wobbling boobs too. Yes, if we get localised releases, I am so getting them.

So, Robotics; Notes ended . .
And it was a good and strong end too!

Sakurasou no Pet no Kanojo 23 would have made an excellent ending for the series too, but it seems there will be one more episode at least O.o

The other day I found the Chinese issue of Comickers magazine with the 25th anniversary of JoJo's bizarre adventure

In it, Hirohiko Araki meets Clint Eastwood, and Mr. Eastwood does a Jotaro pose.

So, we finished the main run of Baccano!

Most. Badass. Sophist. Ever. Also, Nice got to do her very favorite thing, and Isaac and Miria were themselves to a greater extent than ever before.

We also completed the Golden Ghost Ship arc of Mouretsu Pirates, which left a couple unanswered questions:
So, apparently the last Serenity mission for the Ghost Ship was 15 years ago, but Gruier and Grunhilde were both younger than that. Were they not born from the Rose Spring? If so, how is their DNA recognized by the ship?

Also, how does the Ghost Ship have FTL? I thought it was originally a sublight colony ship.

And that was the last episode of Senran Kagura. A decent ending. Now sure, I find it hard to believe that a Super Ninja could not
find some way to kill a dude she had grabbed from behind in the "chokehold/sleeper/break-your-neck" position, and her only option was apparently to leap off the building with him, into fire and death
but seriously, there are bigger questions, like "how do the bikini tops suddenly appear when their shirts fly off?" and "how does Katsuragi's shirt stay attached to her boobs?"

It was a nice ending, and leaves room (a lot of room) for a second season. But if they don't do one, it doesn't leave us hanging. I'm pleased to have watched it.

Zettai Karen Children (which I found through Unlimited Hyobu Kyosuke, which is also pretty good) is tremendously good tongue in cheek anime. A great blend of Magical Girl and Shounen tropes, but makes fun of them.

Also, I like that they made the main characters ten, so that they can then make fun of perverted stuff, and have it really just be making fun of the tropes, with absolutely no seriousness, where if they had the main characters be "16" or whatever, then it would still be using it as a draw even when it pretends to make fun of it.

I took a trip down memory lane with HEROIC LEGEND OF ARSLAN

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5BgGA9pMU0

One of those OVA's that begins with increeedible animation, then peters off and gets cancelled.

The music, designs, animation, all of it is very beautiful. Very influenced by Yoshitaka Amano (who did covers for the novels). I really enjoy this style of heroic fantasy.

Based on a Persian legend:
