Good point. Is the Johnny Mnemonic novel better than the movie? Ive never read it.

It's a short story, and it's worth the (very brief) read. it is not hard to find the text online.

The boardgame Catacombs does a good job of emulating action-comedy. It's not an RPG but you could turn it into one easily enough by slapping a skill system to it.

(Which you can do to many boardgames - one way to look at an RPG is a frame tale around a bunch of boardgame sessions.)

I'll take a look in Catacombs, thanks. Speaking of boardgames, I've seen some reviews of the Android boardgame and it seems very good at emulating noir stories. There's even an android character which plot is about becoming self-aware. The problem, it seems, is the game is ultra complex.
