District 9's a good example of someone who changes their alignment after a traumatic blow to their world-view (HE SHOT AT ME!). Like, becoming one with the aliens he's always treated so badly, at first just to rid himself of the problem, but then changing when he's treated better by the aliens and his former masters are trying to dissect him.
