If you want something really not piss like you should try the John Harvard's Creamy McStout but you need to find a John Harvard's Brew House first.

shadzar wrote:The Beer Store? Wouldn't that be called a bar?
In many states (including New York) bars cannot sell beer for external consumption only for consumption within the premises. Various states have different levels of laws as where beer for external consumption can be sold. New York, for example, allows supermarkets to sell beer.

Police: As Many As 20 Present At Gang Rape Outside School Dance

And a quote from one of the school superintendents in an article from the Mercury News:

Detectives spent the rest of the weekend trying to identify the various participants, some of whom arrived after the gang rape began.

The courtyard is pitch-black at night, making it difficult to see into it from 23rd.

"(Lighting) is an ongoing issue for all our sites," school district spokesman Marin Trujillo said. "That particular section does have lighting. Could it be better? That's something we're always reviewing."

The school district plans to install surveillance cameras by January at the campus, a project long in the works. Plans for new fencing have been in the works since March.

"It's unfortunate that we weren't able to have this finalized a little bit sooner," Ramsey said. "But we've been on top of this issue (safety). Our board is working very proactively to make sure we stay on top of the issue."

Yeah. You're really on top of the safety game, champ.

Disgusting.

@Ganbare: Hey, don't forget the school administrators talking about how as soon as she left the school dance she was at, she was no longer the school's problem, she was on her own.

Theres been a concerted campaign of that sort of tripe lately. My best guess is that its aimed at boosting the internet censorship's public appeal. Theres a variety of stories talking up identity theft etc, pretty much anything that can be used to make the internet look scary.

I wonder if that is an anti-Net Neutrality campaign. That way the ISPs can have more control under the guise of being everyone's protectors....at $1 per gig of download, and $$$$ per free online video you use that is not viewed on their cable TV networks/services?

WTF? 2000 child slaves rescued in 6 months....what the hell are people still doing with slaves for ANY reason? Where is the pissed off smilie? :flames:

Does China still do arranged marriages?

Since the news was about China I was wondering about them specifically since an arranged marriage in a way means owning the kids, so if they do that, then it is confusing they would complain about owning any kids since that is their view in general.

Haven't ever heard of child slaves in India.

They don't want control, that would make them liable. iiNet is trying to win a court case on that right now.

A case on Windows 7 security or case on Net Neutrality?

In the US ISPs, want total control over their systems to be able to say where you can and cannot go, even their competitor websites, and prevent from watching video online because you could take their paid for TV service instead of the free online video form the producers of the programs.

Check out StopTheCap.com about a LOT of North American ISP/TeleComm stuff going on if you are interested. I will try to look up this iiNet thing you speak of.

iiNet is being sued by the local arm of the copyright goons for aiding piracy because they refuse to disconnect people based on vague accusations from the copyright wankers. If they lose all ISPs will essentially have to spy on customers or be held liable in court. They don't want that or to be forced to cancel paying customers.

Bad enough Net Neutrality is already threating internet users because ISPs are wanting to find ways to nickle and dime users, this will just give them another excuse to pass along the cost to the users and blame everyone for it.

It is like arresting the gas station owner for selling gas to the cocaine dealer so he could drive around and sell drugs.

"ICANN approves plans to allow Unicode top-level domains."

Here comes ISO 10646 training! woohoo! time for all browsers to update to Unicode URIs!

About time. Now I wonder what this will do for forms and how bad people will screw up using the GET method since it will be harder to block non-Arabic characters?

I'd be more worried about 'similar character' troubles in finding the right url.

On the crying side, Image

Yes, that's right, Obama lost the election in all but a handful of states.

And people wonder why I don't want to move from the west?

Well it won't affect you too much unless you seek out one of those sites, or it gets into Google search. (Which you can set to return only specific language pages)

So for peoples with other characters in their native language they can name their websites something using their own language.

So instead of .co.jp, they can have the higarana or katakana in the URI.

Russia can use its backwards Arabic characters, but people unable to type those character natively from their keyword might be a problem is you are looking to buy a Russian bride.

Now Jose Jalapeno on a stick can have a website that properly has his name in it so he can be Ho-zay Hala-pain-yo (on a steek).
