This video completely cracks me up. I had to show it to my wife, and her initial reactions were pretty similar to mine. The best of it was that my 3 year old was watching with us and he began dancing... until a certain point. At which time he stopped dancing and just stared at the video not sure what was going on anymore.

I've been on a Tame Impala kick recently- the best way to describe them would be if every 70's psychedelic artist somehow formed a gestalt entity, and said gestalt entity listened to a bunch of modern electronic music and melded the two. While on acid. Or something. I don't know what it is, but it's really fucking good. Also, the band from Perth, so my (mostly) shitty country actually turned out something decent for once.

Eluveitie has announced they're working on a new concept album. I wonder if they're finally going to do Evocation II?
They will be coming within 300 miles of where I live, touring with Wintersun and Varg. Should be a great show if I can swing the ride.

I listen to classic Megaman tunes, and any thing from before the 60's. I LOVE swing, jazz, big band, crooner, etc.
As for a specific band... the Ink Spots were pretty rockin'. And Ella Fitzgerald is awesome, too. I plan on naming any future potential spawn "Ella", so that the name will rhyme (Ella Stella).

Fuck it. I love this band so much I have to share them. It's like every 70's psychedelic rock artist melded into a single person, and that person went to the future and listened to a shitton of electronica, and decided to make a psychedelic rock album. Kinda. Also, they're australian, which I totally did not expect.

zreomusic.com's Twilight Symphony is a little disappointing after paying fifty bucks and waiting around a year, but it's still nice ambient music. I added many of the tracks to my essay-writing playlist.

I've really been digging Bob Dylan's latest album "Tempest." His stuff in the last 15-20 years hasn't been his best but this is pretty fun stuff.
The video for "
Duquesne whistle" is awesome.
