Plus Tek's a Nosferatu, which gives +8 to Hide and Move Silent. I wish base race and template racial bonuses stacked, because then he'd have even better stats in those skills. But as it it, he has +13 before the elven items.
Also, now that I know we have a Holy Devastator, I'm kind of wishing I'd rolled a paladin.

Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.
Which is why I didn't make one, especially since I wanted to make an Angry Marine style paladin.

I just think it's hilarious that your character rolls in, and the first thing they do is get a boost from 28 wisdom, to 34. At level one! That's got to be some kind of record.Red_Rob wrote:Regarding save DC's, the only save spell I really have at this level is Entangle, which is of pretty limited utility in a dungeon or a desert...
edit: if you have an object that can gain control over someone's brain, you could keep it around for Cadwyn. Just in case.

We have the ring, still. This is basically a helm of opposite alignment on steroids. And I'm actually pretty happy about that ring now. If it weren't for the precedent it established, Xil would be going totally nuts right now.
In a normal campaign, I would recommend that the party hold onto the helm for emergency conversion of enemies. Sadly, we aren't even capable of holding onto a cool recurring nemesis in this setting, so we probably want to defeat our opponents with a method that actually yields character advancement potential.

Do we really want to leave the helm lying around? Could cause problems if it fell into the wrong hands. Ah well.
Also, how does the Positive Energy protection on the armor actually work? Is it like Positive Energy resistance or does it stop any positive energy spells from working full stop? I ask because Vigor technically doesn't directly heal hp with positive energy it gives the target Fast Healing, so would that be stopped? Or will I have to try it to find out?

Remember that if we use the environment or cool sidequest artifacts to take the 'flayas out indirectly, we won't get XP. We want to fight through them in person so we actually advance. So Thingol's secret mission is actually kind of a bad idea.
We are well situated to fight the enemies now. 2 undead + 1 cyborg are immune to most of the psychic stuff mind flayers can do. Xil and Berry are ridiculous tanks, and Tek is a mid-range fighter who still possesses powerful defenses. Batman can use his gaze and aura while stunned.
If we can win this, we get to make a super-monster into our Pokemon, with reasonable justification to stay loyal even if the spawn monster conditioning somehow fails. Berry can say she finally got enough assets to lead a rescue.

Apparently nosferatu cannot make spawn. Weird.

Are we hunting cultists or Mind Flayers? Against Flayers do I want to avoid use my Waking Dream aura thing or it will lower your saves, which I'm guessing would be a bad thing?

I think we're hunting cultist mind flayers.

Cultist mind flayers with flails and a penchant for self mutilation, so likely beefier than average. Probably some levels in psionic classes if we are unlucky. Lowering saves should be fine, since every PC but Batman is immune to Mind-affecting effects. And the undead PCs are both immune to getting their brains eaten, which could be a nasty surprise for the enemies.
