So from now on, let's set up all adventures so that they happen in forests. Or corridors with a lot of stalagmites and/or pillars.

It's the only way.

In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. People are fair game for shooting unless an imaginary line from every corner of a five foot square around the shooter passes through an intervening object before getting to every corner of a five foot square around the target. This means, for example, that a mere four foot tree does not stop arrows, and indeed that even a six foot tree won't stop arrows if the enemy simply moves laterally before firing.

Closets are your only fucking option. Things like trees just give a cover bonus, they don't actually block line of sight. If it isn't a wall, it can fuck right off.

Actually, you know what's an embarrassingly simple and cheesy money loop? Use the 'resize armor' function of Enchant Magic Item on a suit of (preferrably pure platinum) armor to make colossal-sized armor. Tear off a chunk of the armor, forge it into tiny armor, and resize it again. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Not enough of rolling smileys in the world...I'm going to tell that to a friend...
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

Looks like the rust monster is now among the most efficient "convert magical items" option. Someone in the thread also mentioned that you can use them to double your magic with some ring that halves the residium costs of rituals.

Not quite the infinite wishes/wealth loop, but it's not really balanced if that works.
I'm a particular fan of the 50+ posts attempting to rationalize why this bit of nonsense is OK, and in some cases, actually good game design.

Voss! Don't you see? It was made by WotC, the people who are paid to do this, so of course it can only be the good and right design choices! I mean, we aren't good enough to get paid, so what do we know?

I have to wonder. If these devs can get that kinda bullshit through the filters despite their incompetence, imagine what my Bluff checks would do to that shit. Not that I would take that approach, just that the mental image is Epic Hilarity.

I haven't touched 4E with a 10 foot pole since it came out, so please bear with me here. Is it still possible for creatures that are the subjects of Raise Dead spells to be able to refuse to be raised? And are Rust Monsters even remotely smart enough in 4E to figure out that maybe they are better off being stone dead then being subjected to an endless cycle of resurrection, feast, and slaughter so some Cleric can gather up gold and/or fairy dust on the cheap?

I worked this out.

What you do is, you poison their food. That way, no pain. Maybe even drug them into unconsciousness and *then* butcher them. None the wiser, right?

Oh, wait, there's that annoying 'will of the gods stuff'. Well, hey, the gods oppose each other all the time, so I'm certain that a few contributions to churches could ensure that that the gods trying to stop you will be cancelled out by the gods who like having the donations every week, leaving you free to harvest.
