They're Christian.

I'm a little surprised that they've managed to put together their own cosmology around the Dark Carnival and link a series of what are essentially concept albums together. It's a lot more ambitious than what most popular artists try and judging from their actual content of those albums its more than I would have thought them capable of. Shaggy2Dope is clearly a very stupid person so I assume the idea comes from the other guy, or someone else.

Oh dear lord that SA link is funny.

The Jugalos request Recognition as a Religion.

I have to say: ICP comng out as Christian Evangelicals was not something I expected.

I like how "Insane Clown Posse" and "Muslim" are capitalized but "aclu", "unted states" (yes, unted) and the first letter of every sentence are not. Well, except when the first letter happens to be an I.

What if this WAS some epic-trolling on the ICP's part? How would you all react?

In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.

Anyone have that hilarious comic about the guy who pretends to be retarded to piss people off?

I would become an ICP fan. I'm already starting to like them lately.

I hate their fans, don't get me wrong. But I was listening to Miracles and some of their earlier stuff, and they're actually pretty hilarious.

That's really funny. I have a cousin who used to listen to ICP. I'm not sure if he's atheist or agnostic, but during that time he was probably at the height of his anti-Christian phase. I have to tell him about this. :uptosomething:

I'd probably respond by mentioning something about Poe's Law. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if the fans don't know if they're serious or not.

Personally, I find this extremely ironic because the more science I have learned, the more mysterious and magical the world seems. I mean, just look at the biology of deep sea creatures or the intricacies of genetic inheritance.
Anyone who can look at cosmology these days and not find the universe more awesome has problems.

The ICP fandom barely qualifies as a subculture (Trekkies, furries, and friggin' otakus have a better claim), what makes them think that they'll qualify as a RELIGION?

Delusions of grandeur? Some overwhelming feeling of self entitlement?

They have a cosmology and a uniform and a music festival. I think that gets them subculture status.
